Nice has introduced the MCX, a versatile platform for commercial door operators, which is specifically engineered to manage intense operations in environments like warehouses, loading docks, and industrial facilities. Visitors to the IDAExpo+ 2026, held at booth #1307, will be among the first to witness the capabilities of this new platform.
Overview of MCX models
The MCX series comprises three distinct models: the MCX-J jackshaft operator, the MCX-H jackshaft hoist, and the MCX-GH heavy-duty jackshaft hoist. These models will be distributed through Nice's authorised network of distributors. This launch represents a significant development in commercial door operators, providing essential performance enhancements for arduous application settings.

The MCX platform aims to simplify the operator market by replacing model-specific voltage and handedness requirements with a single, comprehensive architecture. It accommodates input voltages ranging from 120V to 240V in single or three-phase, using automatic voltage detection to reduce set-up errors. Moreover, it can handle higher voltages, such as 460/575V, through an optional transformer kit, which negates the necessity for separate high-voltage stock-keeping units (SKUs). Additionally, its field-reversible handing reduces the variety of models that both distributors and installers need to manage.

Running on a microprocessor-based control system, the MCX operators feature integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, enabling over-the-air firmware updates and user access via the Nice G.O. app.
All required programming and configuration can be conducted from the ground, using the high-resolution MCX Control Station, which cuts down on installation times and eliminates ladder usage for adjustments during setup and maintenance. Standard diagnostics and fault logging are included, enhancing operational reliability.
Customisation and integration
The system allows for customisation through a modular accessory approach, where options like electromechanical brakes can be applied on-site, thus removing the need for multiple pre-configured SKUs. For those working on retrofits or replacements, optional mounting plates are compatible with many standard legacy garage door opener footprints. All MCX variants run the same firmware and offer a uniform programming interface, ensuring seamless integration with the Nice G.O. app.
