Evolv Technology has announced that its innovative Evolv Express® system is now employed by ten professional baseball teams to enhance guest security as of Opening Day 2024, which commenced on 28 March.
The system, designed for efficient and seamless fan screening, is utilised by notable teams including the Houston Astros, New York Mets, and Boston Red Sox among others.
Fan-friendly security screening
John Baier, vice president of sports at Evolv, highlighted the significance of Opening Day, expressing gratitude for the trust customers place in Evolv to deliver effective security solutions. Baier stated, “Like baseball fans across the country, we celebrate Opening Day and the start of baseball in 2024. We greatly appreciate the trust that our customers place in Evolv to deliver fan-friendly security screening.”
Baier also praised the Pittsburgh Pirates and their home, PNC Park, citing its recent designation by USA Today as the nation's top ballpark. Beyond baseball, Evolv’s influence extends across other major North American sports leagues. The company provides its security technology to 11 professional football teams, 10 professional soccer teams, nine hockey teams, and seven basketball teams.
New additions include Sporting Kansas City and Boston’s TD Garden, home to the Celtics and Bruins, as well as the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, signifying Evolv's first installation in the Southern Hemisphere.
Comprehensive customer service
Evolv Express has been adopted by nearly 50 professional and collegiate sports venues, reflecting its role in the sports industry due to its strong value proposition and comprehensive customer service. Furthermore, the system is operational in more than 700 locations, including theme parks, performing arts centres, casinos, schools, hospitals, and houses of worship. On a typical day, Evolv systems conduct screenings for over one billion individuals, detecting over 1,000 weapons.
