ProTouch Staff division provides a database of over five thousand staff to help with event set-up and full event management
Helen Wood to head the recently launched ProTouch Staff division

Award winning Scunthorpe based ProTouch Security UK Ltd., recently announced the appointment of a new Staffing Manager for their recently launched ProTouch Staff division.

Helen Wood, originally from Wolverhampton, will head up the newly created branch of the company, which not only provides a database of over five thousand staff to help with event set-up and full event management, including event managers, brand ambassadors, promotional and retail staff, hospitality staff, stewards, riggers and drivers, but which also now supplies female SIA licensed personnel.

With a wealth of events industry knowledge thanks to time spent as a Freelance Events Manager and Operations Manager at Birmingham Airport, Helen has now joined forces with ProTouch UK’s founder Tommy Atkin, and ProTouch Staff is the result.

“ProTouch had started to get more and more requests for event staff other than security and as this is where a lot of my experience lies, it made sense for us to combine our expertise,” says Helen.

“The expansion and creation of ProTouch Staff means that ProTouch UK can now offer a nationwide online staff database so extensive that staff including various language speakers, entertainers and medics, as well as purely female security staff, are available” she continues. “And as female security teams are becoming increasingly popular for female only events, I’m delighted to be joining a team where we can say that we’re able to provide events teams tailored made specifically for any client.”

ProTouch UK, recently expanded resulting in the creation of three new separate divisions, ProTouch Security, ProTouch Staff and ProTouch Supplies, have steadily built up a reputation as a friendly and polite security company, able to deal with situations in a professional and unobtrusive manner, and with a year that’s seen them receive a Northern Lincolnshire Business Award as well as undertake work at the Olympics, Helen is looking forward to her new appointment as Staffing Manager.

“I think it’s fantastic that as well as being able to supply security staff of such a high calibre, ProTouch Staff means that clients can now get the complete event team and package from ProTouch UK without using multiple agencies,” Helen explains. “We’re very excited about building the client base and I’m really looking forward to help expand this side of the business.”
