Hirsch Electronics
, a global supplier of access control and security management solutions, announces the appointment of Corey McKinney as Senior System Specialist to extend Hirsch's offering of identity management, HSPD-12 / FIPS 201 / PIV and FISMA compliance solutions. Mr. McKinney is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

Mr. McKinney most recently worked for BearingPoint's Identity Management Solutions Group where he helped develop one of the country's first successful interagency HSPD-12 PIV implementations - part of GSA's Shared Service Provider program - including the complete infrastructure to create, activate and issue PIV credentials to all participating federal agencies. During this project and others, he designed and implemented back-end infrastructure for identity management systems (IDMS), card management systems (CMS), public key infrastructure (PKI) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) services. Mr. McKinney's pre- and post-sales involvement also included Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance projects. Additionally, he was a significant contributor in the authoring of industry standards.

"Corey's breadth of experience will enable him to immediately become a valuable member of our digital identity infrastructure team as governments and commercial enterprises increasingly embrace emerging identification standards," affirmed Lars R. Suneborn, Director, Government Programs at Hirsch. More information on Hirsch's Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions here.
