Interlogix showcases Advisor self-contained security and comfort management platform at ISC West 2013

Interlogix Advisor combines life safety and lifestyle functions for both home and small business use

Interlogix™, a leader in security and life safety solutions for residential and commercial enterprises, recently previewed Advisor™, a new self-contained security and comfort management platform that combines advanced life safety and lifestyle functions for both home and small business use. Interlogix is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Available later this year to security dealers and integrators throughout the Americas, Advisor offers a color touch screen with easy-to-use features and functionality, making it an attractive choice for both end-users and installers.

"Advisor combines lifestyle management features and robust life safety and security solutions," said Kirk MacDowell, residential sales leader, Interlogix. “The solution can be easily applied to a 2,000-square-foot house or a 10,000-square-foot building, providing customisation for each user's specific needs."

Advisor will offer many options for security management and can be controlled locally and remotely through a large 7-inch touch screen. End-users will be able to conveniently manage security and lifestyle needs through:

• Dynamic, multi-language support
• High zone counts, both wired and wireless
• More connectivity options with broadband-ready connectivity. Users also have the ability to add a Wi-Fi™ radio for connectivity to secondary touch screens and IP cameras, as well as GSM/GPRS modems for cellular communication
• Controls such as door locks, lights, thermostats, and electric appliances via Z-Wave® protocol and utilises Bluetooth® for additional system control from Bluetooth-enabled devices
• Customisable user interface

Advisor’s built-in applications will provide users with updated news, weather, sports and traffic information. The panel acts as a monitor for security camera systems and can also serve as a digital photo display.
