Calgary PSC to have the ability to capture, consolidate and manage other types of multimedia incident information, such as video and texts
Calgary PSC to utilise NICE Inform to remotely access 911 and IP radio recordings

NICE announced that The City of Calgary Public Safety Communications (PSC) will be expanding its implementation of NICE solutions to its new emergency back-up facility, while adding enhanced NICE solutions for IP recording and multimedia incident information management. Calgary PSC is the largest public safety answering point in Alberta and one of the largest in Canada, in terms of call volumes and number of people served. The centre handles almost a million calls a year and provides 9-1-1 service to 1.1 million residents in a 40,000-square kilometre area.

Calgary PSC will use NICE Inform to remotely access these 9-1-1 and IP radio recordings which will be centrally stored at the city data centre, in order to create comprehensive incident reconstructions for evidence and investigations. NICE Inform will also give Calgary PSC the ability to capture, consolidate and manage other types of multimedia incident information in the future, such as video, texts, and data, essential for Next Generation 9-1-1.

The City of Calgary PSC has employed NICE solutions since 2007, and will expand those capabilities to a new emergency back-up facility. In addition, Calgary is rolling out an IP radio system and will deploy the MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder jointly developed by NICE and Motorola.

The NICE security offering addresses the needs of governments and enterprises with intent-based solutions for fighting crime and terror, by anticipating, managing and mitigating safety, security and operational risks. The offering enables capture, analysis and correlation of data from multiple sensors and systems, including audio, video, radio, geo-location and web, providing a framework for fusing data silos into a single, holistic operational view.  NICE Security solutions empower organizations to act effectively in real time to prevent, manage and investigate incidents, ensuring fast resolution and debriefing, and continuous security improvements. NICE Security solutions are deployed worldwide in transportation systems, critical infrastructures, city centres and enterprise campuses.
