Allied Universal®, a prominent player in the security and facility services sector, has announced the induction of its Chief Security Officer, retired Major General William J. Walker, U.S. Army, into the Government Executive 2026 Hall of Fame. Walker receives this honour in recognition of his outstanding career in federal law enforcement and the military.
“General Walker’s induction into the Government Executive Hall of Fame is a significant recognition of his outstanding contributions to national security and public service,” stated Steve Jones, Allied Universal Global Chairman and CEO. “We are pleased to have his extensive leadership experience and expertise as part of our executive team.”
Outstanding career in national security
The Government Executive digital news magazine presents this annual honour to individuals whose careers as public servants have notably impacted the U.S. government and public service. Walker was acknowledged for his extensive career exceeding 30 years, including leadership roles in the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Army, and the National Guard. Notably, he also served as the 38th Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he marked history as the first African American to occupy this position.
