This MIFARE DESFire reader provides robust support for the bi-directional open standard data protocol: OSDPv2. OSDPv2 secures data traffic in a system with impermeable 128-bit AES encryption. By contrast, traditional Wiegand cabling can only support unencrypted data transmission. The OSDP reader supports also File Transfer. File Transfer lets you update all your systems’ 8 CD 2.0 OSDPv2 readers with a command you send centrally from your system. Like Idesco’s other readers, 8 CD 2.0 OSDPV2 is available in a variety of housings with or without pin pad, many of which are vandal-proof and suitable for outdoor siting.
