Company overview: Network Video Monitoring (NVM) Network video monitoring enables the customer to use networks and network devices (PCs, servers etc) to manage video. NVM enables anyone with appropriate rights to access video footage and control cameras from any PC equipped with local client software. The cameras are essentially computers - they plug into the network with a standard connector and have their own IP addresses. In contrast to CCTV cameras these cameras can have a degree of autonomy; intelligent functionality enables them to take actions on their own, e.g. sending an email to a specified address should they receive an alarm trigger or automatically start recording when they detect activity in a specified area.
