Hikvision LinkVu integrated security and networking solution for SMB installers

Hikvision has introduced LinkVu, a visual, full-cycle solution designed to help security and networking project installers serve small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

LinkVu combines a range of cloud-managed networking products through the Hik-Partner Pro (HPP) platform, a mobile application that enables installers to manage projects using a smartphone. Together with network cameras, NVRs, alarms, video intercom, access control and audio devices, it provides whole-project management for installations in villas, small offices, economic hotels, shops, farms, factories and similar environments.

Integrated security and networking management

Meaning “Easy links, all in view,” LinkVu is a solution ecosystem rather than a single product. It brings security devices and networking infrastructure together under one visual, cloud-based platform.

The ecosystem includes Hikvision’s cloud-managed Smart Managed Switches, Wireless Bridges, Access Points, Smart Managed Routers and Wireless Routers, all managed through Hik-Partner Pro.

LinkVu is based on four core pillars:

Supporting the complete project lifecycle

LinkVu is designed to address the complexity of managing multiple brands, hardware systems and software platforms across the design, deployment, delivery and maintenance stages of a project.

During the design stage, the HPP Designer tool allows installers to upload floor plans, use AI to recognise walls automatically, view access point heatmaps and camera coverage, and create instant quotations without requiring networking expertise.

For deployment, installers can complete batch device activation, network configuration and topology generation together. According to Hikvision, up to 57 devices can be configured in 3.5 minutes, compared with a traditional process taking 20 minutes. The process can be managed from a smartphone without requiring laptops or monitors.

During project delivery, HPP can export port-to-device mapping information to help installers create accurate labels. It can also generate customisable delivery reports containing device lists, real-time topology, IPC OSD information, Wi-Fi credentials and VLAN configurations.

For maintenance, LinkVu provides a single view of security and networking device status, supporting fault identification and remote port rebooting. Its AR Port feature allows installers to scan a switch’s QR code and view information about the devices connected to each port through an augmented reality interface. Issues that previously required an on-site visit may therefore be handled remotely through the mobile application.

LinkVu enables installers to manage SMB networking projects - from product selection and procurement through to ongoing maintenance - using a smartphone.
