Company overview Voice alarm, control systems, and infrastructure systems integration Company Background ASL was founded in 1989 and remains a private company under the ownership of the original management team. In 2008 the ASL Group organised into two separate companies. ASL Safety, Security and Control manufactures Public Address, Voice Alarm and 3D control systems and provides turnkey communications design services for major global infrastructure projects. The second group company is ASL Vision, which develops video content analysis technologies for the worldwide fire, automotive, and security markets. Public Address and Voice Alarm ASL pioneered the use of energy efficient Adaptive Class D amplification in its PA/VA range of products, removing the need for forced cooling and delivering a new benchmark in product reliability. Its fanless wall and rack mounted systems quickly gained extensive use on global infrastructure projects such as Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham International airports, Sellafield and Dungeness nuclear facilities, over 100 Network Rail stations, 130 London Underground Stations, Docklands Light Railway and Norway Rail. ASL's next generation of compact IP ready products use the cross platform VIPA software framework to control a and deliver a comprehensive suite of modules using a rich 2D or 3D graphical interface. Control Systems The iVENCS control system is the result of ASL's major investment programme to redefine next generation supervisory and control requirements for key national infrastructure projects. IVENCS features an intuitive 3D user interface and connects seamlessly with all safety and security building subsystems including Fire, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Intercom, Radio and SCADA. In 2007 the product was successfully deployed as the Station Management System at St Pancras International, the home of Eurostar and the busiest transport hub in Europe. It has since received a number of awards and achieved widespread traction on similar transport projects, and throughout other industries.
