New Smart Managed Switches from Hikvision for managing security systems remotely
New Smart Managed Switches from Hikvision for managing security systems remotely

Hikvision launched a new generation of Smart Managed Switches that, in conjunction with the Hik-Partner Pro mobile app, enable installers to remotely deploy and configure security systems with comprehensive operation and maintenance capabilities. This new generation of Smart Managed Switches features a robust architecture with 6 KV surge protection for PoE ports. The full portfolio ranges from an economical 100 Mbps switches up to high-powered Gigabit switches tailored for SMB projects. Seamless integration with security systems A rapid increase in the number of IP devices needed to fit the wide varieties of security scenarios has made network switches an essential tool. However, while traditional plug-and-play network switches provide connectivity, they may not converge with other security devices to extend synergy within a system. As the network in a business scenario becomes more complex, the device configuration becomes cumbersome and actually increases the workload.  But now, with this new generation of Smart Managed Switches, Hikvision integrates connectivity with management over the entire security system through its mobile app, Hik-Partner Pro. Hik-Partner Pro weaves together cameras, alarms, NVRs, access control devices, and software, creating a unified and easy-to-use security system for centralized, visualized operations and maintenance.  Further, with the mobile Hik-Partner Pro app, entire system deployment and configuration can be completed with a mobile phone in just three steps, making delivery simpler, faster and easier. The seamless integration provides installers with an all-in-one experience. Here’s more on how it works. Remote management – just like being on-site  The new generation of Smart Managed Switches enables installers to implement network operations and maintenance remotely, with no need to be at the site they are servicing. Two elements are critical here for maintaining such a setup: an intuitive bird’s-eye-view of the system as well as a way to resolve issues that come up. Visualized network topology. A network topology, visualized in the mobile app, allows installers to view and maintain a network intuitively, easily getting updates on network health status and device connection status. Efficient troubleshooting. Installers get real-time alarm notifications when a network or a device goes down, helping them quickly and remotely locate and resolve issues ranging from port reboots to parameter adjustments and more. This significantly reduces system downtime, as well as network operations and maintenance costs. Doing more in less time with lower expenditure Remote management saves time and eliminates transportation costs for installers. With Hik-Partner Pro, installers will extend and elevate their work efficiency as they maintain products using a mobile phone from any location and at any time of day, responding more quickly to ensure stable system performance for their customers. It can be a powerful tool for expanding their business and satisfying their customer base.

New Hikvision AX PRO alarm product
New Hikvision AX PRO alarm product

Hikvision, an IoT solution provider with video as its core competency, has announced a brand-new addition to its AX PRO alarm product line: the Wireless External Tri-tech Detector and (optional) dedicated camera module. This powerful intruder detection system provides a better image, more precise detection, and a handy modular design – all working to enhance alarm system capabilities for both homeowners and small businesses. Tapping into the industry trend of using external passive infrared (PIR) detectors for video verification, the detector protects a property with innovative technology for precise detection and video verification. Tri-tech innovation reduces false alarms In these scenarios, false alarms are often triggered by anything from bad weather to leaves or branches to pets. The answer to dealing with these is to be able to identify them and ignore them as 'non-threats'. As its name suggests, a tri-tech detector uses three sensors: a PIR sensor at the top, a microwave sensor, and another PIR sensor at the bottom. This means that it can detect at various heights, with a 15m and 90° adjustable detection area, more precisely identifying what is actually triggering the alarm. Patented Independent Floating Threshold (IFT) technology allows the detectors to adjust their thresholds based on the environment infrared and background noise automatically and dynamically. This essentially reduces false alarms caused by background noise interference. The detector uses digital temperature compensation to automatically adjust the alarm threshold according to environment. This also means it is much more resilient in bad weather conditions, and enables consistent detection throughout. Any successful security systems is subject to attempts to overcome it. One of these is 'masking', where a potential criminal 'covers' the sensor(s), for example with a spray. The AX PRO device uses active IR anti-masking - the detector can initiate a mask-processing sequence to check whether it has been masked or not. The 'operator' receives an alarm and can act accordingly. And there's more The optional camera module provides GIF verification, allowing the 'operator' to see an image of an 'incident' for visual verification. The module has a 2.0mm lens with adjustable angle and can provide up to 20 images with VGA/QVGA/QQVGA formats.  Other features include: Pet immunity up to 40 kg Waterproof to IP65 standard Automatic sensitivity Easy to install and cost-effective, with no power/network cables needed. In a market where accurate intruder alerting is exploding and verification is becoming more important, the Tri-tech Detector can provide an innovative solution in a wide range of scenarios.

Hikvision unveils the industry's first "True 8K" NVRs
Hikvision unveils the industry's first "True 8K" NVRs

Hikvision unveils the security industry's first "True 8K" NVRs that support video recording, storage, transferring, decoding and output of up to 8K super-high-resolution images. The new M-series NVRs can be used with a host of Hikvision cameras, and are ideal for environments where a wide field of view, and extremely high image resolution is needed. The "True 8K" storage, transferring, decoding and output After years of technical accumulation and innovation, Hikvision has comprehensively upgraded and optimized both the software and hardware of the M-series NVR. These NVRs are equipped with an 8-core 64-bit high-performance SOC chip and high-capacity DDR4 memory kits, which provide full guarantee for "True 8K" functionalities. 8K video access & storage The powerful hardware performance of the M-series provides a stable guarantee for 8K video access.
