Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, introduces a surface mount option for the new ultra low profile MicroDome cameras. The new line of multi-megapixel cameras is designed for applications where both high-resolution and a minimal footprint are required. MicroDome cameras are available in resolutions of 1.3 megapixels (MP), 1080p, 3MP and 5MP with an option for true Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) imaging at 1080p and 3MP. In its surface mount housing, the Arecont Vision MicroDome camera is IP66 environmental rated to resist dust and water. The domes on all MicroDome cameras are IK-10 impact resistant. MicroDome cameras ship with 4mm lenses. Additional lenses are available at 2.8mm, 6mm, 8mm, 12mm and 16mm. All MicroDome cameras use true mechanical day/night IR cut filters for excellent low light performance, with pixel binning available at 3MP and 5MP. The cameras are all-in-one Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions and provide audio capabilities: a microphone is standard on flush mount models and an audio jack is included on the surface mount models. Casino Mode in 1080p models maintains 30 frames-per-second (fps) or higher. Standard features of Arecont Vision IP megapixel cameras include a dual H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) and JPEG encoder, fast frame rates, on-camera privacy masking and 1024-zone motion detection. The company’s WDR technology delivers a dynamic range of up to 100dB at full resolution without lowering frame rates. By combining long and short exposures in the same field-of-view, WDR maximises the amount of detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene.

Arecont Vision® MegaView® 2 IP Megapixel Bullet Cameras with new features and functions

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP megapixel camera technology, has added a number of significant features to the company’s popular MegaView® 2 true day/night bullet style megapixel cameras. New features of the MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera debuted at Intersec 2015 include Arecont Vision’s groundbreaking STELLAR™ (Spatio TEmporal Low Light ARchitecture) Low Light Technology, optional on-board storage; CorridorView™; and non-integer scaling. The MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera delivers STELLAR™ Low Light Technology to reduce motion blur, noise and storage requirements. The technology enhances contrast and produces color imaging in near complete darkness on 1.2MP models. Due to its outstanding ability to capture object details in extreme lighting conditions, this camera is ideal for many low light applications. To reduce the risk of losing important data from short network outages or to help reduce network strain from high storage costs, the MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera includes local storage supporting up to a 32 SD/SDHC card. The CorridorView™ feature allows the camera’s image to be rotated 90 degrees to reduce capturing unnecessary data. This works great for narrow hallways where pixels are often wasted due to capturing the surrounding walls. Reducing bandwidth and storage costs whenever possible is added value for any network. The MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera features non-integer scaling which provides the ability to scale images to different resolutions down to 128x96. This flexibility allows users to tailor their system for their specific need; reducing system bandwidth and storage costs. MegaView® 2 IP bullet cameras feature Arecont Vision’s true wide dynamic range (WDR) technology which provides a dynamic range of up to 100dB at full resolution without lowering frame rates (1080p and 3MP models). By combining long and short exposures in the same field of view, WDR maximizes the amount of detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene. The WDR performance of Arecont Vision® cameras represents up to 50dB improvement (300X) in dynamic range compared to conventional megapixel cameras. “Arecont Vision® continues to establish new benchmarks in megapixel performance to address the evolving needs of our customers,” said Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President, Arecont Vision®. “As we continue to innovate new megapixel imaging products, we will also continue to improve upon existing market leading products such as our MegaView® 2 Day/Night megapixel cameras by adding enhanced features such as STELLAR™ that further improve their performance and coverage capabilities.” Additional performance features found in MegaView® 2 bullet cameras include: remote focus/zoom p-iris lenses, integrated infrared illuminators, wide angle or telephoto options; H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10)/MJPEG dual encoders; privacy masking; extended motion detection with 1,024 distinct motion detection zones; pixel binning for increased light sensitivity (3MP, 5MP and 10MP models); IP66 environmentally rated housings for use in harsh environments; flexible cropping to adjust image sizes; and the ability to choose PoE (Power over Ethernet) or external power. MegaView® 2 Telephoto cameras are available with integrated long distance infrared illuminators in resolutions of 1080p, 3MP, 5MP and 10MP.The new cameras seamlessly integrate with a wide range of third-party providers, since they are PSIA and ONVIF conformant.

Arecont Vision releases SurroundVideo G5 Mini Panoramic Camera series
Arecont Vision releases SurroundVideo G5 Mini Panoramic Camera series

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has expanded its popular SurroundVideo panoramic indoor/outdoor camera series with fifth generation models that deliver important new features in a smaller size. These compact SurroundVideo G5 Mini cameras are the latest addition to the ground-breaking SurroundVideo multi-sensor panoramic family.  SurroundVideo panoramic cameras provide four integrated lenses in either 180º or 360º configurations. The new SurroundVideo G5 Mini panoramic camera series delivers 12- and 20-megapixel (12 or 20MP) resolution at double the frame rate of previous models. The G5 Mini is also approximately 50% smaller than previous SurroundVideo models.   Increased coverage with fewer camerasIn 2006, Arecont Vision pioneered the industry’s first multi-sensor panoramic megapixel cameras and has maintained its market leadership through continued innovation and development. Not only can a single, high definition SurroundVideo camera replace multiple pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) or fixed-view cameras, but it does so while enhancing video coverage and situational awareness.  Even more important is that reducing the number of cameras through the use of SurroundVideo lessens both project costs and complexity. SurroundVideo camerasThe SurroundVideo series is currently in its fifth generation, with tens of thousands of  successful customer installations around the globe. SurroundVideo cameras are typically mounted on walls, ceilings, rooftops, corners, light poles, and emergency call boxes. Users can view each sensor of a SurroundVideo G5 Mini megapixel camera individually or cumulatively in a full 180o or 360o panoramic view.  SurroundVideo panoramic cameras are factory-aligned with a slight image overlap as a means to ensure that nothing is ever missed in the field of view. 12MP WDR-equipped models offer up to 100dB at full resolution for an optimal image, even in extremely varied lighting conditions. SurroundVideo cameras additionally feature four individual day/night mechanical IR cut filters in order to provide the highest image quality at any time of day.
