News mentions
Due to the escalating coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd and ABEC Exhibitions and Conferences P Ltd, have decided that Secutech India will not take place in 2020. The decision is the result of travel restrictions and strict social distancing guidelines currently in place across India, and a lack of availability at the fair’s venue – the Bombay Exhibition Centre – during an appropriate time later this year. The fair will take place at the same location in Mumbai in May 2021. Stemming the spread of COVID-19 The Indian Government has taken extensive measures to stem the spread of COVID-19. Beginning from March 25, a 21-day nationwide lockdown was announced, effective until April 14. This has since been extended for another 19 days, effective until May 3. Strict social distancing regulations have been imposed, and all incoming and outgoing international and domestic flights have been suspended. With uncertainty and tight travel restrictions in place not only in India, but around the globe, pre-fair planning and preparations for Secutech India, originally scheduled from May 7 – 9, 2020, were severely hindered for the fair’s exhibitors and visitors. The decision to defer to 2021 Commenting on the cancellation, Ms Regina Tsai, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, said: “The evolving situation, including local and international travel restrictions as well as constantly changing public health guidelines made it impossible for the fair to be held as scheduled. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to find a new available time slot at the fair’s venue to adequately serve the interests of our exhibitors in 2020. Because of this, we have taken the difficult decision to defer the fair until 2021.” Mr Manish Gandhi, COO, ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences P Ltd, further commented: “As members of an industry that prioritises safety and security, we are confident that the industry is in full support of our decision. We remain committed to supporting the business of our stakeholders wherever possible, and we look forward to welcoming the full fraternity for another productive few days of trade in 2021."
To safeguard the wellbeing of its participants in the wake of the recent Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Messe Frankfurt has announced the deferral of the upcoming edition of Secutech in Taipei, the company’s event for the safety and security industry. The event was originally scheduled from 22 - 24 April 2020. The announcement follows a decision on 30 January 2020 by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to list the COVID-19 outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This was followed on 11 February with a statement issued by Mayor, New Taipei City, Hou You-Yi, urging the cancellation of large-scale indoor events in order to minimise the public health risk posed by COVID-19. Rescheduling of high-profile exhibitions In the intervening time, a number of high-profile exhibitions in Nangang Exhibition Centre and other parts of Taipei have been rescheduled. Secutech’s brand of popular road-shows will take place across Taiwan during 2020 Commenting on the decision, Ms Regina Tsai, General Manager, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said, “Safeguarding the wellbeing of our stakeholders is always our top priority. Accordingly, we have decided to take appropriate measures to support the local government’s efforts to counter the COVID-19 outbreak.” “We have tried our best to find new dates for Secutech 2020, however we have so far been unable to find an adequate solution for our stakeholders.” Secutech deferred to April 2021 “Although a timeslot for relocating Secutech in the second half of 2020 is available, given its close proximity to the next edition of Secutech, and the marketing activities of our exhibitors already scheduled later this year, this timeslot does not provide good value for our stakeholders. Therefore we have to defer the show to April 2021.” To ensure that domestic business can be sustained throughout this period, Secutech’s brand of popular road-shows will take place across Taiwan during 2020, with dates to be announced in due course. Furthermore, Messe Frankfurt New Era will continue its extensive on-line marketing campaigns to help Secutech exhibitors maximise their market exposure for the remainder of the year.
Attracting trade visitors from across the subcontinent, the region’s most influential trade fair for the security industry, Secutech India, is scheduled to return for its 9th edition from 7 – 9 May 2020 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. With exhibitor registration still open, the fair has already attracted more than 350 of the world’s leading security brands with less than three months remaining before it commences. The 2020 exhibition will feature Axis Communication, CP Plus, Hikvision, ZKTeco, Infinova, Matrix, Toshiba and many more. Security devices and turnkey solutions The 2020 edition of Secutech India is set to reflect the country’s digital transformation Detailing the business value of the fair, Ms Regina Tsai, the General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: “Catering to local market requirements such as cost efficiency and a need for fast project implementation, Secutech India assembles the full range of security devices and turnkey solutions under a single roof. Benefiting from its position in Mumbai, India’s commercial centre, last year the fair attracted more than 20,000 buyers travelling from across India’s main regions, and we are looking forward to welcoming even more business this coming May.” The 2020 edition of Secutech India is set to reflect the country’s digital transformation. IP cameras are in high demand from SMEs, retail and the residential segment, while biometric access control systems are also gaining popularity in offices and at border controls, with users gradually favouring contactless systems such as facial recognition above fingerprint biometrics. Core security solutions In the view of Ms Tsai, this year’s fair is taking place at a favourable time for the regional industry: “The government aims to transform India into an electronics export hub, which will open up new opportunities for component manufacturers catering to the local manufacturing sector. But just as importantly, as part of India’s proposed Union Budget 2020, infrastructure development across roads, railway, airports, ports, and economic corridors are expected to raise demand for core security solutions including video surveillance, video analytics, biometrics and intruder detection systems." "The governments ‘Digital India’, ‘Smart City Mission’, and ‘Technology Empowerment’ initiatives will also be growth drivers.” Access control in healthcare facilities As a maturing security market, the appetite for knowledge in India is growing" Among many benefits, the ability to make onsite comparisons, conduct meaningful business discussions and view product demonstrations are a few of the show elements that visitor’s to Secutech India value. According to Ms Tsai, business effectiveness is the top priority for the fair’s organisers: “Initiatives such as the ‘Secutech connect’ business matching service which links buyers with exhibitors based on industry background continue to be highly popular, helping us to generate genuine business outcomes for participants.” But beyond business, information exchange is also a priority says Ms Tsai: “As a maturing security market, the appetite for knowledge in India is growing. This is a need that the upcoming edition of Secutech India will cater for with a series of conferences dealing with topics relevant to the local market, including cyber security, smart city digital infrastructure; the convergence of 5G, artificial intelligence, data analytics and the IoT; access control in healthcare facilities, and fire safety in elderly care homes and restaurants.” Personal protection equipment In addition to its core focus on security, Secutech India 2020, in cooperation with the GPS Association of India, will feature a pavilion dedicated to fleet management, vehicle tracking as well as passenger and driver safety. The concurrent ‘Fire and Safety India’ event will also return as the destination for trade buyers to locate the latest firefighting gear, personal protection equipment and smoke detection systems.
Secutech Vietnam, the region’s trade fair for connected IoT-based security, fire safety and smart building solutions will return to the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Centre for its 13th edition from 20 - 22 August 2020. Following record high participation at its 2019 edition, and amidst buoyant market conditions, the fair is expected to attract 400 exhibitors and 15,000 trade buyers from across the ASEAN region. The impressive rise of Secutech Vietnam over the past ten years has coincided with consistent growth in the market for safety and security solutions, and according to fair organiser Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, there has never been a more opportune moment to enter the marketplace. Regardless of whether it’s the security, fire safety or smart building sector, business prospects continue to emerge, and integrated solutions have become a major driving force for business. Video surveillance market The economy grew at 7% in 2019 and the FDI environment remains extremely welcoming" Ms Regina Tsai, the General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, says that Secutech Vietnam is the perfect platform for foreign players to gain a foothold in the market, “Continued support from government departments and key industry associations ensures that relevant buyers from both the public and private sectors visit Secutech Vietnam. What’s more, the fair’s wide coverage across multiple industries including construction, industry, retail and hospitality will attract system integrators, distributors and related trade buyers from both the north and the south of the country.” Ms Tsai added, “Vietnam’s fundamentals make the country a highly attractive proposition. The economy grew at 7% in 2019 and the FDI environment remains extremely welcoming.” Expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.4% until 2022, the video surveillance market is particularly promising, representing one of the fastest growing surveillance markets in South East Asia. Industrial Internet of things (IIoT) Furthermore, thanks to strong government support of Industry 4.0 initiatives, significant opportunities are arising in Vietnam’s smart factory sector, a field in which the Industrial Internet of things (IIoT) is having far reaching implications for automation, predictive maintenance, logistics and supply chain management. In fact, according to Vietnam’s Central Institute for Economic Management, Industry 4.0 solutions have the potential to raise Vietnam’s GDP by between 7 - 16% from 2019 to 2030. Government backed smart city projects, a strong construction sector, and urbanisation are also significant growth drivers - supporting a flourishing market for IoT based smart building and home solutions. Larger SMABuilding event At previous editions, CCTV cameras and NVRs were the main focus for buyers" Perhaps the most noticeable change at the 2020 edition of Secutech Vietnam will come in the form of a larger SMABuilding event. Explaining the expansion, Ms Tsai said, “In terms of commercial and residential property, facility managers are not only in charge of security and fire safety, but also temperature control, energy efficiency, lighting and parking. With this overlap in mind, it makes sense for SMABuilding to add to its existing portfolio of security solutions so that trade visitors can source the full spectrum of smart home and building solutions. Visitors can expect a larger event scale and even more opportunities to conduct business.” She further explained that end users in the commercial security sector are also demanding more sophisticated products, “At previous editions, CCTV cameras and NVRs were the main focus for buyers. But now, end users are searching for components and solutions that can enable new unified turnkey solutions with added value and flexibility.” Single management platform Combining security with other functionalities is also proving popular in the factory, home, parking and retail sectors, all of which will have dedicated application pavilions at the show. With related technologies grouped together, it’s much easier for trade visitors to find specific solutions" “These are all vertical markets where buyers demand unified solutions to their challenges,” said Ms Tsai. “Taking retail as an example, store managers and business owners increasingly prefer to handle security, retail analytics, heat mapping, people counting and inventory management through a single management platform rather than a series of separate sub-systems.” But although popular, it is not only ‘total solutions’ that channel buyers are searching for, single function solutions are also in demand. According to Ms Tsai, this is where the fair’s four application zones will deliver even more value, “With related technologies grouped together, it’s much easier for trade visitors to find the specific solutions that they need, whether it be access control, perimeter monitoring or license plate recognition.” Seven product zones Alongside the fair’s application zones, Secutech Vietnam will also feature seven product zones, displaying the latest surveillance cameras, components and accessories, software and management platforms, PA systems, biometrics and RFID. Three of the zones will be located at the concurrent ‘Fire & Safety Vietnam’ event, which recorded its largest ever edition in 2019, connecting practitioners with extinguishing equipment, alarms, personal protection equipment, disaster prevention solutions, fire proof materials, rescue equipment and more.
The very best in IoT, artificial intelligence, edge computing and 5G technology will be on display at the upcoming edition of Secutech, which returns to the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre from 22 – 24 April 2020 for its 23rd edition. Commercial security and fire safety solutions will take centre stage at the fair, and in order to reflect the cross-sector influence of artificial intelligence and the IoT, Secutech 2020 will also feature dedicated zones for the smart building and mobility sectors. Data analysis solutions Ms Regina Tsai, the Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, explained that new show elements at the 2020 edition seeks to encourage collaboration across different sectors: “We are pleased to introduce the new 5G applications pavilion which will demonstrate how higher data speeds will impact fields such as the IoT." "In the new era of 5G IoT, the amount of data that can be transmitted between devices will be much higher, with applications not just for improved security, but also for better road safety and building management. This higher data volume is only useful if the information can be properly analysed, which is where Secutech 2020 will deliver even more value for trade buyers, thanks to its many exhibitors of data analysis solutions both on the edge and in the cloud.” Smart living and intelligent transportation Secutech has kept buyers abreast of emerging opportunities throughout its 23 year history Held under the supervision of the National Communication Commission, the new 5G Pavilion will welcome four of Taiwan’s main telecom providers: Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, FarEastTone and Asia Pacific Telecom. The four companies will join a lineup of around 350 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing everything from video surveillance cameras and access control systems, to facial recognition systems and security management platforms. Always in touch with technological trends, Secutech has kept buyers abreast of emerging opportunities throughout its 23 year history. Reflecting new developments in the IoT, in recent years the fair has introduced concurrent ‘SMAbuilding’ and ‘Mobility’ events as platforms that mix security solutions with other functionalities such as building management and smart parking. Fire and Safety For the 2020 fair, new elements are set to be introduced to the popular ‘SMAbuilding’ event including a themed ‘Building Internet of Things’ area that will focus specifically on residential property, commercial buildings, the retail sector and hotels. The area will showcase AI and IoT solutions that drive automation and device integration. Other additions will include dedicated zones for smart industrial facilities and construction projects. Safety solutions for health care facilities and nursing homes will be displayed alongside traditional equipment Held alongside SMAbuilding, the returning ‘Mobility’ event will also be a significant attraction, allowing exhibitors and visitors to discuss intelligent transportation solutions and generate genuine business outcomes. Covering a diverse product spectrum, the event will house four pavilions dedicated to smart railway, smart road, smart parking and smart logistics solutions. As a destination for Asia’s fire and safety practitioners to locate new equipment and learn about best practices, the concurrent ‘Fire and Safety’ event will also be returning to Secutech 2020. Personal protection equipment Demonstrating how the IoT can save lives, the event will host suppliers of smart disaster prevention devices at specialist zones. Safety solutions for health care facilities and nursing homes will also be displayed alongside traditional equipment such as fire extinguishers, firefighting gear and personal protection equipment. The 23rd edition of Secutech will take place from 22 – 24 April 2020. Secutech is organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd and is part of a global network of Safety Security and Fire trade fairs.

By working with these types of suppliers, I can help to improve the level of technology available in Cambodia. The organisation of the fair has been very smooth and I very much appreciate the business matching sessions where I have been able to have one-to-one conversations with potential partners to find scope for cooperation.” High-tech CCTV surveillance solutions exhibited We are looking for new technology and business partners and I feel that we have been able to find that here" The President of the Malaysian Chapter of the Asia Pacific Security Association (APSA), Mr. Dato’ Sri Haji Mustapa Bin Haji Ali, was also impressed with the relationships he was able to build at the fair. He said, “We are looking for new technology and business partners and I feel that we have been able to find that here. The other day, I found a CCTV surveillance solution that I can introduce to our members, and perhaps introduce to the government for possible applications in our country”. He adds, “The business matching service is good; it has helped me find the new business partners that I was looking for. For sure, we will be back here next year. This year we brought 24 members and next year, we want to bring more than 40 members to visit Secutech Thailand.” Fire & Safety Thailand Delegation members also applauded the fair as a great place to network with security associations from different countries: “We have found a lot of opportunities to generate business in the surveillance and access control segments at Secutech Thailand,” said Ms. Wah Wah Min, Secretary of the Private Security Services Association of Myanmar. “But we also come to the fair because it’s a good occasion to network with other associations from across ASEAN. This helps us to expand our network and learn from each other.” Concurrent Fire & Safety Thailand event facilitates transfer of disaster prevention and emergency equipment from Taiwan and Korea. Extinguishing systems, fire alarms on display On top of high-tech surveillance, video analytics, management software and access control systems, visitors to Secutech Thailand could also locate extinguishing systems, alarms, sensors and personal protection equipment at the concurrent ‘Fire & Safety Thailand’ event. A highlight of the event was the Korea Fire Institute Pavilion which hosted internationally certified brands. NARLabs, an organisation founded by the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology was also in attendance at the event. Explaining the organisation’s reasons for joining, Mr Kuang-Chong Wu, the Vice President of NARLabs said, “Thailand is one of the most important countries in Southeast Asia for us. Two of our centers – the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering and the National Center for High-Performance Computing – are participating at Secutech Thailand 2019 to exhibit our smart technology related to disaster prevention and mitigation. We hope that by showing our technologies, we can enable and initiate more cooperation between our two countries.” Floods, weather monitoring solutions The services that we provide such as flood mapping can help the government better deal with the issue" Another Taiwanese organisation, the Taiwan Association of Disaster Prevention Industry (TADPI) brought a number of companies to share solutions for pollution monitoring, advanced weather forecasts, and flood defense to name a few. “When it comes to Thailand, I think we all remember the floods of 2011”, said Mr Daniel Yao, the Executive Director of the association. “Because of ground sediment issues in Bangkok we are likely to see flooding again. The services that we provide such as flood mapping can help the government better deal with the issue. Taiwan is recognised by the United Nations as an area most effected by natural disasters. So the people of Taiwan have accumulated experience of how to deal with natural disasters that we can share. That’s why we are here at Secutech Thailand, to use the fair as a bridge to connect with those people who are in need of our services.” Smart Factory Conference While new business relationships were being formed in the exhibition hall, important industry insights were being gained at the fair’s Smart Factory Conference. The conference updated industry professionals on topics such as security automation, smart disaster prevention and industry 4.0. Following his presentation at the conference, Mr. Somwang Boonrakcahroen, President of the Thai – German institute underlined the value that the conference delivered, “Today I talked about digital technology and how it can be used to achieve industry 4.0. At the moment, Thailand can be described on average as being at a level of industry 2.5. One of the first steps we need to take to reach industry 4.0 is to build awareness. This conference helps to achieve this goal by informing attendees about what technologies are involved in industry 4.0 and how they can be implemented.”
The IoT is not only integrating devices and services, it is also bringing businesses together – particularly in the safety, security and fire sectors. This fact was demonstrated at the latest edition of Secutech Vietnam, where a record 380 exhibitors and 14,239 trade visitors converged to do business and learn about the latest products. Brands from 21 countries and regions lined up at the show, with many commenting that the market for smart solutions is becoming increasingly competitive. With a population of almost 100 million and construction projects taking place across the country, exhibitors were pleased to find opportunities not just in Ho Chi Minh City and the south of Vietnam, but across the entire country. Secutech Vietnam 2019 At the conclusion of the show, Ms Regina Tsai, the Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: “This 12th edition of Secutech Vietnam has delivered concrete business results. Apart from serving the smart city sector, the concurrent Fire & Safety Vietnam and SMABuilding events have helped industry players to collaborate, solve pain points, and take advantage of growth potential in the factory, residential and commercial property sectors. Through its concurrent events and fringe programme, we are proud that Secutech Vietnam continues to orient the regions’ safety, security and fire sectors towards a bright future.” Taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre from 14 – 16 August 2019, the mood inside the exhibition hall was positive as exhibitors displayed their latest IoT, surveillance, fire safety, access control, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence technologies to trade buyers from across Vietnam. IoT, video, access control Aiming to find more partners in Vietnam, and so far we have met a lot of project owners and system integrators at the fair" Because of the increasingly competitive business environment, many brands decided to boost their presence at the fair by exhibiting at a dedicated booth, having previously been represented at Secutech Vietnam through local distributors. “The market is growing so fast that we need a platform to meet the right customers,” said Mr Charly Wang, the Regional Sales Director of Merit LILIN, a supplier of IP surveillance and video analysis solutions. He continued, “We are aiming to find more partners in Vietnam, and so far we have met a lot of project owners and system integrators at the fair.” Global security companies exhibit Apart from LILIN, other well-known brands in attendance included Avigilon, Bosch, Hanwha Techwin, Hitron, Kedacom, Nha An Toan (a Hikvision and ABB distributor), and ZKTeco. Hosting 20 leading suppliers including ANJIA, DOPHIGO, Feyond, GoldenVision, Harvest Kang and Jeas-Union, the pavilion showcased the latest solutions in smart building, smart home and transportation. The show’s international contingent also included nearly 40 companies in pavilions from Singapore, the Korea Fire Institute, and the Japan Fire Pavilion. Smart city and retail Aiming to meet trade visitors from across Vietnam, Hanwha Techwin were introducing their surveillance and service centre solutions for smart city, smart factory, and retail at the show. Mr Ta Quang Huy, the Country Manager of the company said, “We have exhibited at the show for four consecutive years because of the wide variety of visitors that come here, not only from Ho Chi Minh City, but also from major cities such as Danang, Hanoi, and Central Vietnam. Compared to last year, the visitor flow has increased, and clients seem to be focusing a lot on smart city.” At the fair’s concurrent SMABuilding event, exhibitors also painted a favourable picture of market prospects: “According to reports that we have read, the smart building market in Vietnam is expected to grow by 20 to 30 percent until 2030,” said Ms Bui Thi Huong Lan, the CEO Assistant at TechPro. “Our main objective at the fair is to promote our new biometric security solutions to the market. We are really satisfied with the results. In just one day we have received more than 100 potential clients at our booth that are relevant to the smart building and home markets, including contractors.” Fire safety solutions We manufacture a wide range of firefighting equipment, including specialised vehicles and ambulances" With a record-breaking scale of display, up 21% from 2018, visitors to the concurrent Fire & Safety Vietnam event were able to locate extinguishing systems, alarms, valves, personal protection equipment, CPR solutions, and fire dust detection systems from well-known brands such as D&C Vina, Funayama, Himax, Masflo, Nittan, Secom, SFFECO, Yun Yang, VT Plus, Quoc Nam and many more. According to an exhibitor at the event, Mr Radwan Halabi, the Export Director of NAFFCO, new construction projects have opened up a gap in the market for internationally certified products, “We manufacture a wide range of firefighting equipment, including specialised vehicles and ambulances. In the Vietnamese market, new projects are looking for internationally certified products, especially high-rise buildings and shopping malls. The results of our participation at Secutech Vietnam have been really good. The visitors here are very unique, and we have not met any visitors that are unrelated to our products.” New trends and technology With so many internationally renowned brands exhibiting at the fair, Secutech Vietnam 2019 proved itself to be the ideal destination for trade buyers to identify new trends and find appropriate products for their businesses. New at the show this year, the business matching service hosted more than 530 tours and meetings with more than 85% expressing their satisfaction with the service as an efficient way to target solutions of interest and establish new business connections. CCTV and AI “I have been visiting the show for eight years, and I can see that there are more brands joining each year. Almost all the key brands in the industry are present,” said Mr Dao Anh Dung, the Sales Manager of Sao Nam An. “So far, I have noticed that there are more CCTV solutions which are highly flexible and can be adjusted to customer needs. The AI technology is becoming more mature too.” Other visitors noted that there is increased interconnectivity between devices. Mr Nguyen Van Huynh, a Product Designer from Cty TNHH PCCC Sao Viet, said “We are a fire alarm system developer for commercial and residential uses. We are working on a new system and I am one of the technicians in the team. I am here to learn about market and industry trends so that we can adjust our products to fit market needs. I have noticed that there is increasing adoption of IoT and connective technologies to integrate systems. This is something that we are also working on.” Networking and sourcing Networking and sourcing opportunities apart, the trade fair offers an information exchange platform In addition to networking and sourcing opportunities, the trade fair also provided an information exchange platform that helped sector players learn about important growth areas. One of many sectors primed for future growth is smart factory, however the sector is still in a nascent stage. “At the moment there are not a lot smart factories in Vietnam but many manufacturers are expressing serious intentions to set up smart factories,” said Mr Long Nguyen, the CEO of Houselink and a speaker at the Smart Factory Conference. “A lot of the topics that we discussed at the conference are very practical for these manufacturers, and some attendees asked for further information after my presentation. Attendees can also find related products in the fairground, so bringing this conference to the show is really useful for the local industry.” Fire protection solutions Some of the key themes of the conference ranged from market updates, government policy, security, management efficiency, IoT applications, and fire safety. For fire safety professionals, there were plenty of industry insights on offer at a seminar dedicated to fire protection solutions. Speakers included representatives from the Vietnam Fire and Rescue Police Department and the Korea Fire Institute, who discussed regulations, UL certification, fire prevention in mixed-use buildings, intelligent alarm systems and more. Secutech Vietnam is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd and Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC. The next edition will take place from 20 – 22 August 2020 at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Chi Minh City takes its place at the centre of Asia’s security world this week, as a record 380 exhibitors aim to catch the attention of trade buyers at the 12th edition of Secutech Vietnam. Displaying best-in-class products in the fields of safety, security and fire, the trade fair takes place at the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Centre from 14 – 16 August 2019. According to Ms Regina Tsai, the Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, the fair has adapted to accommodate emerging vertical markets: “Thanks to the traction of Industry 4.0, a new wave of IoT adoption is taking place in Vietnam. With this in mind, we have introduced the ‘Smart Factory Conference’ to the fair’s fringe programme. This adds to what is already an exciting exchange platform for the smart city and smart building markets.” 11% rise in number of exhibitors As the market for security products in Vietnam has matured, exhibitor participation has risen for six consecutive yearsBy further easing the process of doing business in Vietnam, the fair continues to gather support from both industry associations and new exhibitors. In fact, as the market for security products in Vietnam has matured, exhibitor participation has risen for six consecutive years. In celebration of the fair’s expansion, Ms Tsai added: “This year we are delighted to be recording an 11% rise in exhibitor numbers. Last year, the fair attracted 13,800 trade visitors, and at the coming edition we are anticipating yet another strong turnout from system integrators, distributors, consultants and related trade buyers.” Solution providers from 21 countries and regions will showcase their products across 11,000 sqm of exhibition space at the fair, including the likes of Avigilon, Bosch, Hanwha Techwin, Hitron, KPS, LILIN, PHUC BINH, Nha An Toan (a distributor of Hikvision and ABB products), and ZKTeco. Demand for energy efficient solutions In the smart building sector, demand for connected IoT products can be broken down into four main categories: smart homes, smart apartment buildings, smart commercial buildings and smart factories.
