Project Manager, Centre for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA)Florian Schmid is the Project Manager of Systematic Threat Assessment (STA) at Centre for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA), Switzerland. He graduated from the Zurich University of Teacher Education with a major in languages and history in 2009. Besides various positions in education, Florian worked for the Zurich State Police Security Control Division at Zurich Airport for more than four years. Florian's division constantly evaluates current news and information from different sources in order to develop defence strategies based on the findings of applied research. Besides his professional activities, Florian serves in the Psychological-Pedagogical Service of the Swiss Armed Forces with the rank of an officer since 2007.
