Battery-powered trams in Florence by Hitachi & Teleste

Teleste has signed an agreement with Hitachi Rail to supply advanced passenger information systems for new battery-powered trams in Florence, Italy. The contract covers 16 five-car vehicles, with an option for up to 14 additional units.  Teleste’s delivery includes a complete onboard passenger information system featuring information displays, CCTV, Ethernet connectivity, and an automatic passenger counting system. These vehicles enable high-capacity public transport in the city centre without the need for overhead electric lines, preserving the visual harmony of the cityscape and driving forward sustainable public mobility. Teleste partners with ZetaDisplay for Ruter AS project

Teleste has signed an agreement with digital signage provider ZetaDisplay for the delivery of Teleste’s state-of-the-art information displays to Ruter AS, the public transport authority serving the Oslo and Akershus region in Norway. Under this agreement, Teleste’s advanced displays will replace the existing passenger information displays across Ruter’s transport network. Product deliveries will commence in 2025. Teleste and Kyrel partnership boosts public safety market

As a part of Teleste’s strategy execution, they have entered to an EMS-Partnership with Kyrel Oy from Finland.
