3DX-RAY, a pioneer in advanced X-ray imaging technology, is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of a significant double-digit unit contract with the esteemed Indian partner for the ThreatScan LS1 system. This innovative solution has been selected for its impressive size, ruggedness, and exceptional capability to efficiently handle Passive Infrared (PIR) devices activated by X-ray technology. EOD and security applications The ThreatScan LS1 is an advanced X-ray imaging system specifically designed for EOD and security applications, delivering high-performance imaging capabilities suitable for various environments, particularly in security settings such as stadia, airports and customs posts. One of the standout features of the ThreatScan LS1 is its large area coverage, allowing it to scan substantial objects effectively. This makes it particularly useful for thorough security checks, providing high-resolution images that enhance the detection of potential threats, including weapons, explosives, and contraband. Advanced imaging technology User experience is prioritised with the ThreatScan LS1, as it boasts an intuitive interface that enables operators to quickly learn and utilise the system efficiently. Additionally, its robust design ensures reliability and longevity, even in demanding operational conditions. In terms of technical specifications, the ThreatScan LS1 utilises advanced imaging technology that allows for superior detection capabilities. It features rapid image processing to facilitate quick decision-making during security screenings and offers multiple connectivity options for seamless data transfer and system integration. Importantly, it complies with international safety standards for X-ray systems, ensuring safe operation for both users and the public. Demand for advanced security solutions “We are thrilled to deepen our partnership and leverage the proven capabilities of the ThreatScan LS1 with our Indian partner,” said Vince Deery, CEO of 3DX-RAY. “This contract not only underscores the increasing demand for advanced security solutions but also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in meeting our clients’ needs with cutting-edge technology.” General security inspection The ThreatScan® range is suitable for use in suspect bag and package inspection in locations such as mass transit rail and bus stations, shopping malls, airports, stadia and sports arenas. The system is also used for general security inspection by first responders such as Police, Military, Government Security agencies and Technical Surveillance Counter Measures. 3DX-Ray will be showcasing the ThreatScan ISC on the Visiom stand no. 5R199, at this year’s MILIPOL, November 18-21, 2025 - Paris North Villepinte.
3DX-Ray announces a contract for the sale of further ThreatScan®-AS1 systems to a Middle Eastern Law Enforcement Agency. This sale is a follow-on order to multiple similar systems already in service with the agencies EOD and search teams. The 3DX-RAY ThreatScan®-AS1(ISC) is a robust amorphous silicon portable X-ray inspection system. It comprises as standard a detector panel with an imaging area of 43cm x 35cm, a new high penetration 150kV generator, and a laptop along with batteries, chargers, the user-friendly 3DX-RAY ThreatSpect software, wireless communication and transport case. The AS1(ISC) is simple to use and produces extremely high-quality, sub-millimetre resolution images in real time. User applications and threat scenarios The system is fully integrated, with a primary display, computer, communications and power supplies consolidated into a single, waterproof rugged case. With the addition of a secondary display tablet, ThreatScan®-AS1(SC) offers high flexibility in deployment to meet the wide variety of user applications and threat scenarios. Inspection of suspicious bags and packages ThreatScan®-AS1(ISC) is perfectly suited for the EOD community and the inspection of suspicious bags and packages The ThreatScan®-AS1(ISC) is perfectly suited for the EOD community and the inspection of suspicious bags and packages in environments like mass transit rail and bus stations, shopping centres, airports, and sports venues. This system is engineered for straightforward deployment and operation, delivering optimal imaging capabilities within a single integrated unit for first responders, including police, border officers, military personnel, and both private and government security agencies. General security inspection All ThreatScan® systems can be used to inspect suspect bags and packages in mass transit areas as well as general security inspection by first responders such as Police, Military and Private and Government Security agencies. 3DX-RAY LTD, CEO, Vincent Deery, said: "This follow-on contract shows that a long-established user has continued faith in our systems but also underscores our commitment to supporting our law enforcement customers with advanced technology that enhances their capabilities in ensuring public safety."
3DX-Ray has sold two AXIS-CXi, cabinet-based x-ray systems to secure high-threat sites in Rome, Italy. AXIS-CXi was originally designed to bring the same colour-differentiating image technology used in airport baggage screening, to the mail room environment. AXIS-CXi quickly showed its potential in a whole variety of security scenarios, from embassy lobbies to the homes of high-net-worth individuals. AXIS-CXi differentiated scans Grey scale is used for the recognition of shapes and the form of objects The AXIS-CXi was a huge step forward in mail room scanning, as colour differentiated scans enable operators to determine not just the shape but, the nature of the materials being scanned. Orange shows organics, such as; explosives, chemicals and drugs, as well as more innocent items such as foodstuffs. Blue shows metals, such as; guns, knives, and potential IED components. Green shows inorganic materials like those used in homemade explosives. Grey scale is used for the recognition of shapes and the form of objects. This allows the operator, with very little training, to analyse items more accurately, quickly and easily. AXIS-CXi range of security scenarios But another major innovation is in the design itself. The AXIS-CXi has an extra-large inspection chamber, whilst maintaining a small footprint. So, not only can it scan mail and parcels, but it can also scan bags up to and including aircraft cabin bags. The system is mobile and aesthetically sympathetic, meaning that it can be used in offices, hotel lobbies, banks, retail centres, in fact anywhere! 3DX-RAY LTD, CEO, Vincent Deery said: “AXIS-CXi with its combination technology and unobtrusive good looks has once again proved its usefulness in an ever-growing range of security scenarios.”
