The integration allows for simple plug-and-play set-up and features real-time full HD video at 25 fps IDIS, a surveillance manufacturer, announced the successful integration of its range of DirectIP NVRs with the British manufactured Redvision X-SERIES of ruggedised pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras. Unveiled at Intersec 2017 on IDIS stand S1-F26, the integration allows for simple plug-and-play set-up and features real-time full HD video at 25 frames per second (fps) with no visible latency, smooth PTZ controls, wiper on and off functionality, and seamless full HD recording all controlled directly from the IDIS NVR or through IDIS Centre, totally cost free video management software. X-SERIES ruggedised PTZ cameras Speaking at the show, Billy Hopkins, Technical Manager, IDIS Europe, said, “It’s great to showcase a new integration and technology at Intersec that brings the entire security buying chain under one roof. In addition, the Redvision X-SERIES is ideally suited to tough, outdoor conditions, which are commonplace in most countries across the Middle East that experience extreme weather conditions.” “The X-SERIES has options for infrared (IR) or dual light (combined IR and white light) illumination and has built-in, ultra-efficient LEDs. Night time IR illumination is effective up to 150 metres and white light effective up to 120 metres with both providing facial recognition up to 40 metres. The IR lighting allows covert operation, whilst the white light option produces usable colour images at night and acts as an overt, visible warning to intruders.’’ “DirectIP NVRs offer customers a cost effective and simple to use recording platform for the X-SERIES within the IDIS IP range” DirectIP network video recorder Dermot Grace, Managing Director of Redvision, added, “Redvision manufactures the X-SERIES rugged PTZ and dome CCTV camera range in the UK, with options for 20x and 30x zoom; full HD IP or analogue video; IR and white-light LED illuminators for low-light; and a flat glass camera window, with wiper. Low power consumption reduces cost of ownership. DirectIP NVRs offer customers a cost effective and simple to use recording platform for the X-SERIES within the IDIS IP range.” “IDIS is recognised as a true global player having launched its brand business and set up headquarters across three continents, so this is an exciting new partnership for Redvision and we look forward to building upon our relationship and meeting the technology and surveillance requirements of both of our customers.” Visitors to Intersec can see the IDIS and Redvision integration in action on stand S1-F26 throughout Intersec on 22-24 January 2017.
IDIS will demonstrate their latest innovations at stand F36 during UK Security Expo 2016 IDIS, a global surveillance manufacturer, announces that it will showcase Building Information Modelling (BIM) capability, several new advanced products as well as highlighting the resilience of the company’s patented network security technologies on its stand F36 at the UK Security Expo 2016 on 30th November to 1st December at Olympia, London. With the required use of BIM for all major public sector construction projects, IDIS will demonstrate how it can support the construction industry buying chain with its newly released BIM files. A major evolution beyond the origins of Computer Aided Design, BIM capability will make IDIS surveillance part of a unified framework for the life-cycle management of building assets from design, construction to operations and maintenance. Embracing BMI capabilities Commenting, Billy Hopkins, Technical Manager, IDIS Europe, said, “BIM is revolutionising the way buildings are designed, implemented and operated by integrating what were previously silos across the building lifecycle. It’s important for us as a surveillance manufacturer to embrace BIM to support the construction industry in reducing procurement costs, allowing smoother integration of building assets and in doing so help ensure buildings are smarter and more efficient.” The UK Security Expo will also see the IDIS team demonstrate how the company is leading the surveillance industry in terms of network security through true plug-and-play that minimises the level of human risk during implementation together with proprietary protocols and file structures that makes them incredibly difficult to breach. The UK Security Expo will also see the IDIS team demonstrate how the company is leading the surveillance industry in terms of network security Robust video footage integrity In addition, IDIS offers highly robust video footage integrity through its patented Chained Fingerprint algorithm. Every single neighbouring image is chained with a finger print value. This chained finger print value is stored along with the images so that when images are exported if the chain is broken this signifies the possibility of tampering. This is incredibly important in terms of evidence as very often video footage is dismissed in courts because tampering cannot be ruled out. This together high quality full-HD and 4K resolution and resilient network security make IDIS solutions incredibly attractive to both local authorities and central government agencies as well as large enterprises. Tamper-proof IP cameras Brian Song, Managing Director of IDIS Europe, said, “With IP camera hacking a hot topic across the security industry the UK Security Expo will provide the perfect platform to show how IDIS is leading the industry in terms of network security and data integrity. For this reason, as well as IDIS signature high-performance, quality and reliability, we are seeing more and more organisations deploying IDIS solutions for mission critical security operations.” “At the same time, the expo gives us the perfect opportunity to unveil our BIM capability, which is something we are seeing become standard in the construction industry not just in Europe, but globally and will be of particular interest to delegates from public sector as well consultants and those from the engineering and construction sector. Visitors will also get the chance to experience the IDIS Total Solution that is purposely developed to meet any surveillance need, of any size - while guaranteeing one of the industry’s lowest total costs of ownership. We look forward the show and welcoming visitors on to our stand F36.” Demonstrations at UK Security Expo 2016 Visitors to UK Security Expo will also have the chance to get hand-on demonstrations of the latest IDIS innovations including IDIS Solution Suite, highly scalable and modular enterprise-level video management software (VMS), that comes with free software and firmware updates, so customers only pay once for the modules they need. Other product advancements on show will include the award-winning IDIS Smart UX Controls and the ever popular IDIS Super Fisheye that both deliver silky smooth manoeuvrability.
