Arecont Vision to demonstrate world's first H.264 panoramic cameras at Security 2008 in Essen, Germany
Arecont Vision is providing a new, more cost effective solution to bandwidth utilization
New panoramic 180° And 360° megapixel cameras to be demonstrated in H.264 versions

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in megapixel IP camera technology, is demonstrating the world's first H.264 panoramic cameras at Security 2008, the top international trade show for the industry. The visitors will see H.264 version of Arecont Vision's proprietary SurroundVideo® technology, which utilizes four 2-megapixel sensors in 180° (AV8185) and 360°(AV8365) cameras for true high definition panoramic views.

"By bringing H.264 compression technology to our panoramic megapixel platform, Arecont Vision is providing a new, more cost effective solution to bandwidth utilization with a higher level of surveillance functionality. Using H.264 allows us to increase bandwidth and storage efficiency on average by a factor of ten," said Dr. Vladimir Berezin, President, Arecont Vision.

All Arecont Vision products feature proprietary low-cost massively parallel image processing technology that represents a drastic departure from traditional analogue and network camera designs. These innovative technologies enable Arecont Vision to deliver multi-megapixel digital video at standard IP VGA camera price points.
