The Robinson Bours family founded Industrias Bachoco in 1952 in the Mexican State of Sonora. It has grown to become the largest poultry company in Mexico. The company's headquarters are located in the city of Celaya, in the state of Guanajuato. Their main products lines are: chicken, eggs, balance feed and swine. Industrias Bachoco has processing plants that operate in conjunction with other 700 facilities located in nine complexes located throughout Mexico.
Business objective:
Industrias Bachoco required environmentally hardened CCTV equipment for monitoring their large industrial walk-in coolers and freezers. Waterproof IP66-rated equipment was required to allow for freezer wash down. Industrias Bachoco also required a CCTV camera that was capable of long-term operation under freezing temperatures.
Solution:
The Bosch's EX14 is an all-environment camera for harsh weather applications with operating temperature range from -60ºC to +60ºC (-76ºF to +140ºF).
The simple, effective design allows performance in the most challenging of environmental conditions, including wash-down facilities, corrosive environments and sub-zero temperatures. The housing is compact, yet large enough for a 9-22 mm varifocal lens and mechanical filter imaging technology.
Made of an injection-moulded ABS/Nylon resin, the EX14 series is engineered specifically to withstand hot, cold and wet environments. An insulated inner chamber eliminates the requirement for internal heaters and blowers. Compliant to IP66, the EX14 series also features an easy-access camera compartment for easy camera/lens adjustments and installation.

The EX14 is available with varifocal 4-9 mm or 9-22 mm auto iris lenses and comes complete with a nylon wall bracket.
