Bowling display monitors and video cameras are jointly recorded with MULTIEYE® to increase efficiency and security

One of the biggest facilities of this kind in the greater area of Lisbon (Portugal), in Casicais, consists of 12 bowling lanes, 2 floodlit football pitches and 3 Paintball / Gotcha areas. The facility is frequented by about 25,000 visitors per month. The entrances of the buildings are monitored with 7 analogue video cameras. The activities of the 12 display monitors of the bowling lanes are monitored and recorded by the MULTIEYE® Desktop Logger module from the MULTIEYE®-HYBRID recorders also. The Desktop Logger module which is used here, is a special software that scans each monitor of the bowling computer 3-4 times per second and transmits the images via the network to the MULTIEYE® HYBRID recorder. The MULTIEYE® HYBRID recorder processes and records the monitor JPEG images as the ones from network cameras. Since the MULTIEYE® HYBRID recorder has a central motion detection, the bowling display images will be only recorded if the images changes.

Based on the monitor recordings the accounting of the games can be followed up and disorders of the bowling alley - which will be indicated on the monitors - will be recognised by the staff at the control centre immediately. The disturbance will be promptly removed. Another aspect is the detection of disorders during the bowling alley bowling warranty period.

The club facility in Casicais is one of the first video surveillance systems in Portugal, where display monitors and video cameras are jointly displayed, recorded and remotely transferred with the MULTIEYE® HYBRID Network Video recorder.
