ioimage, the pioneer of intelligent video appliances designed for simplicity, announced recently that it has signed a distribution agreement with CMI Inc., a leading Canadian channel management company of security and IT products throughout Canada.

As part of the agreement, CMI Inc. will offer its customers ioimage's off-the-shelf intelligent video encoders and IP cameras with built-in video analytics.  CMI's client base spans Canada and includes security systems integrators, architects & engineers, and IT security professionals.

CMI Inc. currently represents more than a dozen vendors, offering products and solutions such as smart cards, content filtering, identify validation, network access control and email security.  ioimage is CMI's sole video analytics vendor and has already facilitated successful deployments of ioimage's solutions throughout Canada in the critical infrastructure and government markets.

Earlier this month, CMI Inc., in conjunction with one of its resellers, hosted a breakfast seminar in Ottawa, Quebec to demonstrate to government security end users how to set up and deploy ioimage's video analytics in 5 easy steps. The seminar included tips and pitfalls when deploying video analytics and a live product demonstration.

"ioimage represents the first video analytics solutions for CMI Inc. customers and an expansion of our physical security product offering line," said Karen Letain, president of CMI Inc.  "By adding ioimage's solutions, we can now offer our value added resellers reliable, yet easy to install intelligent video systems demanded by the security market."

"CMI Inc. is an important partner in ioimage's plan to bring video analytics to the mainstream market," said Zeev Farkash, VP of Worldwide Sales and Customer Services for ioimage.  "By working with CMI Inc., we're able to effectively reach system integrators, architects & engineers and IT value added resellers throughout Canada."
