TeleEye CX Series used in one of the largest banks
TeleEye CX Series used in one of the largest banks
We proudly advise TeleEye CX Series has been recently specified and adopted in the ATM and Self Banking Centre surveillance projects in one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world. Some of the main reasons of selecting the CX products are listed in the following. We hope this information sharing would be helpful for you understand the potential of the TeleEye solutions.

Efficient compression

The SMAC-M compression of CX is proven to be much more efficient than MPEG-4 being used in their existing DVRs. The bank requires video recording with a retention period of 3 months. CX784 can easily fulfill the above requirements for up to 4 cameras with a SATA 750GB HDD. It is believed that simpler hardware and smaller HDD count would definitely enhance the system reliability in a long run.

The Bank's security control room requires to monitor live videos of an ATM site through their corporate network when there is an alarm event. Nonetheless they can only allocate 64kbps data speed for remote video monitoring applications. The multi-stream architecture and the compression efficiency of SMAC-M are definitely big advantages in such limited network resource environment.

Enhanced network security

Up to 20 login accounts with individual user's authority settings can be created in a CX video recording server. Additionally all CX models support IP filtering function. Users can define IP address ranges that are exclusively allowed or excluded for establishing communication with a CX video recording server. It can further enhance the security level of accessing the CX products through the network.

Compact size

The small footprint of CX video recording servers makes the installation inside those tiny standalone ATMs much easier. CX784 and CX788 measure 230mm x 242mm x 65mm which is significantly smaller than most DVR products in the marketplace.

Seamless integration into the security management portal

The Bank is currently managing all security resources, including CCTV, alarm and access control, etc. of all their ATM sites through a web-based portal. Our ActiveX SDK facilitates the integration of TeleEye videos into their existing portal easily.

Active HDD health check

CX video recording servers can be configured to perform the "health checking" of its HDD continuously.  If a certain data error is detected, the CX video recording server will report the event back to the Bank's security control room automatically. The security personnel can take appropriate actions to fix the problem and minimize any interruption in the recording as possible.

Easy video footage extraction

If there is an event, such as card fraud transaction, reported in an ATM site, the Bank's security personnel can easily extract the required video clips into a USB flash drive. And the extracted video can be played back on any PCs within the need of pre-installing software application.

Speedy swap out

CX configuration parameters can be exported to a USB flash drive after the commissioning work is completed. If the CX video recording server requires to be taken out from the site for servicing in the future, its configuration parameters can be easily transferred from the USB flash drive to a new machine for rapid replacement. It greatly simplifies the work procedures and minimize the chance of having any configuration error in the new replacement machine.
