HID PCVSL software for centralized management The software regularly communicates with external trust authorities, imports updated credential information and sends that information to the pivCLASS Authentication Modules (PAMs) for enforcement. Enabling the upgrade of existing physical access control system (PACS) to achieve FIPS 201 compliance, the validation software is designed to be used with PAMs, which work with HID pivCLASS readers to provide real time authentication at the door at the time of access. The pivCLASS Validation Server also configures PAMs and manages their firmware updates and includes an API that enables third party integration to physical access control system software.
