The IP-based EDGE™ provides a complete access control hardware infrastructure with contactless smart card capabilities. eAXxess leverages EDGE's ability to provide fully distributed intelligence and decision making right to the door, using the IT infrastructure to the maximum extent possible. Additionally, the open architecture also enables organizationsutilizing the EDGE-optimized eAXxess solution to build a customized security management system that easily integrates with existing card readers and other devices. Using a single network connection, an EDGE device may be configured using eAXxess software, eliminating the need for additional software, hardware or interfaces.
