Peripheral devices (alarm inputs, relay outputs, keyboards etc.) are connected in a LAN network and can be expanded anytime. Programming of the Crosstronic II is carried out via a PC with the configuration software included and is very easy. All functions of the matrix switcher and connected components – such as pan/tilt heads – can be controlled with the videotronic Crosstronic keyboard especially developed for this application. System expansion requires only the plugging in of additional cards into the 19" rack system, which is accessible from the front. The Crosstronic II suits any application, e. g. input and output interfaces for alarm control for ground plans and for the control of recording devices. The open RS232 protocol allows interfacing to different operation and management devices.
