Terrorism is the both the act and threat of violence to ensure that the public is made aware of a specific goal or used as a means to achieve the goals of terrorists.

Counter terrorism also known as anti-terrorism encompasses a variety of practices used to combat or prevent terrorist acts. This includes military tactics, law enforcement, intelligence agencies and security measures.
