BSRIA, a pioneering provider of testing, research, and consultancy services, has appointed John Taylor as Publications Manager. This strategic appointment will increase the volume of high-quality guidance, reports, brochures, how-to-guides, and more, while accelerating the digital transformation of BSRIA’s content. A key part of Taylor's remit will be to help transition BSRIA's publications to be more digitally enabled and accessible. Taylor will evolve content delivery from traditional, long-form PDF documents to more digestible and user-friendly formats. This will meet industry professionals' needs for fast, accessible, and engaging content. 20 years of experience Taylor brings over 20 years of experience in the built environment, encompassing building services design, energy management, carbon management, retrofit, and building optimisation. Taylor’s particular areas of expertise include mechanical services design, building controls, smart buildings, energy surveys and optimisation of existing buildings, retrofit, building operation and maintenance, and net zero strategy. He will work with specialist authors across the range of BSRIA guides, from design through to construction, commissioning, handover, and ongoing maintenance. BSRIA, the research and information membership body for the built environment, has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Ashworth, who is tasked with furthering BSRIA's impressive growth ambitions. Lisa Ashworth Ashworth joins BSRIA with a wealth of experience in pioneering technology-based data and information businesses. With an illustrious career marked by her tenure at organisations such as the Financial Times, PR Newswire, Frost and Sullivan, and Reevoo/Feefo, Ashworth brings a successful track record of growing businesses across diverse sectors. In addition to her extensive operational experience, she has a strong background in setting up and expanding businesses internationally. Lisa Ashworth takes up her position on the 1st of June 2024, following an induction period.
