barox Kommunikation AG will showcase its powerful integration with Milestone Systems’ XProtect® video management platform at SKYDD 2026, as the company introduces its integrated network management capabilities to the Nordic security market for the first time. Taking place at Stockholmsmässan, Sweden, from 20–22 October, barox will exhibit alongside longstanding technology partner Milestone Systems A/S on stand A03:30, demonstrating how the Smart-barox plug-in brings network intelligence directly into the XProtect® platform. Advanced network monitoring The integration combines Milestone’s leading video management capabilities with the advanced network monitoring, diagnostics and device management functionality built into barox Ethernet switches. This gives installers, integrators and security operators greater visibility and control of the network infrastructure supporting their video security systems, without the need to switch between separate management platforms. At SKYDD, barox will demonstrate a range of its video-focused Ethernet switches running the Smart-barox Milestone plug-in. Developed around barox’s embedded Device Management System (DMS), the integration provides crucial network information and management functionality directly within Milestone XProtect® Smart Client and Management Client. Significant system failures Users can see which cameras and devices are connected and operational, monitor network performance and receive alerts when potential problems occur. This includes monitoring PoE current draw, device connectivity and operational status, helping users identify issues before they develop into more significant system failures. The integration also provides a network topology view and detailed diagnostics for cameras, switches and connected devices. Through the XProtect® Management Client, network devices can be remotely managed and rebooted where required, while barox SNMP traps and alarms can be configured and monitored within the integrated environment. Critical infrastructure projects By bringing these capabilities into the XProtect® platform, Smart-barox simplifies network management and troubleshooting, helping installers and operators reduce the time and resources required to diagnose and resolve network issues. The combination has already been deployed across high-security and critical infrastructure projects worldwide, demonstrating the value of integrating network intelligence with video management. The integration can also help reduce engineering support costs and unnecessary site visits by providing remote access to network diagnostics and device management. Dallmeier will present its latest video security solutions and integrations at Security Essen from September 22 to 25, 2026, together with its technology partners Advancis and barox. Dallmeier and barox: Locating network issues faster At the barox booth, Dallmeier will showcase the Checkmk integration in the SeMSy® Event Manager and SeMSy® Compact. Information from barox switches can be read directly, enabling network issues to be located and resolved quickly and efficiently.Visitors to the barox booth can also gain insights into Dallmeier’s patented multifocal sensor technology with the Panomera® S8. The camera system combines images from multiple sensors into a high-resolution overall view, enabling the efficient monitoring of large areas and long distances.
