An auction held during Vicon's annual Golf Day saw over £2500 raised for charity.  Players who enjoyed 27 holes of golf at Cuddington Golf Course in Surrey on 5th July were then given the opportunity to bid for a variety of donated prizes during the awards dinner.

The money raised will be shared by the Bobby Moore Bowel Cancer Trust and the Children's Trust in Tadworth.

"There was some impressive golf played," said Mel Hatchard, Vicon's Deputy Managing Director.  "It was great to see so many new players join us in addition to the return of so many from last year to compete in this year's event and of course give us the opportunity to offer support to two exceptionally worthwhile causes.  From a modest start five years ago this event has now really taken off and will continue to grow I feel."

The winner of the scratch tournament was Paul Tennent of Tavcom Training.  Despite facing stiff competition, Paul saw off all comers with an impressive eight over par round.

The main Stableford competition for the Vicon Charity Golf Champion Player for 2007 was Peter Harries of Guardall with an impressive 38 points.
