BSIA is supporting the Home Office in its ongoing work to prevent burglary
The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is supporting the Home Office in its ongoing work to prevent burglary through an initiative to provide discounts on professional property marking systems, whilst also emphasising the importance of quality security products and systems installed and maintained to professional standards.

John Bates, BSIA Chief Executive, comments: "The BSIA is extremely supportive of the government's work to prevent burglary. As a result of our involvement in the Home Office summit earlier in the year and a meeting with Home Office Minister Alan Campbell MP, BSIA property marking companies are offering a 20% discount on professional marking systems - an initiative which will be rolled out through information packs offered by police forces."

"Throughout our discussions with the Home Office, we have emphasised the importance of quality security products and systems and the fact that compliance with standards is essential to effective home security. This message is fundamental to all the Association's work and has certainly been taken on board with respect to professional property marking systems.

The BSIA will continue to advocate the importance of quality security systems installed and maintained by member companies, as our work with the Home Office moves forward."
