Tamron recently appointed Keiki Warashina as General Manager of Tamron USA's Industrial Optics Division.  Warashina will be responsible for Tamron CCTV business in North and South America.

Warashina joined Tamron Co., Ltd. in October 2002 and handled sales of Tamron CCTV products for the European market.  In October of 2004, he was promoted to Section Manager, extending his responsibility of the CCTV business to the whole European market including Russia and Eastern Europe.  In 2006, Warashina assumed responsibility for the USA market.  He was appointed to the position of General Manager of the CCTV department at Tamron USA in August 2007 and will head up the division from Tamron USA's Long Island headquarters.

"The CCTV industry lens business is getting more difficult due to the increased demand of integrated and low cost products," stated Warashina.  "In this challenging business climate, my goal is to further develop Tamron's position as a high quality lens manufacturer by introducing high quality and high performance lenses with unique features."

Warashina also stated that the company would explore the possibilities of entering other fields in the CCTV industry by exploiting the know-how and experience gained over many years of optical lens development.
