| SIA Director of Research Mark Visbal has completed the Certified Association Executive (CAE) programme |
The 50-year-old CAE program from the American Society of Association Executives is, according to the organization, "designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and designate association professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of association management." In order to earn the certification, Visbal had to pass a 4-hour exam.
"That made my day," he said of finding out that he had passed. "Getting the CAE is a great honour. This was made possible by the great support that I received from my coworkers and SIA."
Visbal has worked at the association since 2000 and has worked in the security industry since 1987.
SIA officials congratulated Visbal on his achievement.
"Mark has done outstanding work for SIA for many years, and this certification is evidence of both his expertise and his commitment to the organisation and its members," SIA Chief Executive Officer Richard Chace said.
