The 8 relay expander provides low voltage, high current relay outputs, offering a general purpose interface in applications such as warning devices, air-conditioning, process control access control including door locks, lift call and lift floor selection. One board can be directly connected to the control module via a ribbon cable to provide 8 relay outputs. It has all the functionality of the control module version but is designed to plug into the universal expander.
