All models are robust being constructed from strong aluminium extrusions with the PCB firmly fitted into internal slots. The transformer is the latest toroidal design and the power unit has also been designed to ensure a large margin between maximum rated output current and transformer current limits. The SL501 output is a fixed 12V @ 1Amp with two input terminals and a 1.6A fuse. The SL503 can be varied in three steps using a shorting plug. It will give 12V, 13.5V & 14V all at 3A. It also has 4 pairs of input terminals and is fitted with a 3.25A fuse.
