The camera supports 3 independent operating modes (profiles), which are fully programmable.  9dB extra sensitivity is achieved by summing the signal from the pixels normally used to produce the colour picture and produce a monochrome image with improved S/N ratio.

Bosch VJT-X40XF-E video encoder with 4 video inputs deliver real-time H.264 compressed video over IPv4 and IPv6 networks. The unit provides two independent streams per camera with full frame rate for different purposes, like one stream for live viewing with lowest delay while the second stream is optimized for requiring only little recording space. The VideoJet X40 XF E encoder supports PAL and NTSC sources and provide bidirectional audio communication in parallel to video.
