TKH Security Solutions implements video surveillance system in 22 Paris tunnels

Over a period of five years, TKH Security Solutions will help implement a video surveillance system for acquiring, analyzing, transmitting, and recording video in twenty-two tunnels in and around Paris. The system covers 45 kilometers of tunnel roads, through which more than 200,000 cars drive every day. It is the largest traffic monitoring project of its type ever implemented in Europe.

TKH Security Solutions will work with AID expert Traficon to deploy an intelligent video analytics system for detecting traffic incidents and streaming video material to each tunnel’s respective control room for viewing and storing footage. Incident-triggered events will prompt a Siqura recording solution to save any relevant video clips to the system for future use. These recordings can be reviewed later to help improve the traffic monitoring system and hence the safety of the motorways in and around Paris.
