Alvarion® Expands Presence in Africa with Opening of Two Service Centres, Showcases WiMAX™ Portfolio

Continued growth in Africa with more than 60 WiMAX networks commercially deployed in over 30 African countries

With more than 60 WiMAX networks commercially deployed in more than 30 African countries, Alvarion builds on its strong heritage enabling wireless and broadband services in Africa and dedication to operator customers by establishing two service centers in Nairobi, Kenya and Dakar, Senegal. These centers are using Alvarion qualified and certified Field Engineers to complete Alvarion's' service portfolio and give customers immediate response from these local offices. In addition, these technical centers will provide WiMAX training for specific customers and enhance local WiMAX competency on Alvarion's network across the region.
