Scality AI infrastructure boosts French market

Scality, a global pioneer in data infrastructure software for the AI era, and WEKA, the data and memory infrastructure company, announces an expanded partnership in France, anchored by a new joint customer support agreement. Under the agreement, Scality will distribute the companies’ joint solution to customers in France, giving local enterprises a single, in-country point of contact for sales and tier-one support. The announcement precedes RAISE Summit 2026, Europe’s premier AI event, taking place July 8–9 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, where both companies are exhibiting. Delivering autonomous operations Scality and WEKA’s combined technologies deliver a complementary solution for AI workloads. WEKA’s NeuralMesh software provides accelerated storage and context memory performance at scale, keeping GPUs fully utilised for AI model training and inference. Scality ADI (Autonomous Data Infrastructure) is a data infrastructure platform that delivers autonomous operations, cyber resilience, and sovereign control across the full data lifecycle, from active workloads to durable, long-term retention at exabyte scale. The new agreement makes the combined solution easier for French customers to adopt and operate, with front-line technical support delivered locally by Scality. Jointly validated solution The support agreement builds on the jointly validated solution the two companies announced on February 24, 2026, which pairs WEKA’s NeuralMesh high-performance AI storage and context memory platform with a cost-efficient Scality RING object tier. The integration uses Scality’s lightweight object connector for NeuralMesh, delivering up to 10x faster performance and up to 20% lower infrastructure costs in Scality testing. It also reflects a broader expansion of joint go-to-market activities in France, where Scality and WEKA are engaging a growing set of shared prospects. By aligning their complementary technologies and now their local support and sales motions, the partners aim to give French enterprises, government organisations, and AI builders a clear, low-risk path to high-performance, cost-efficient, cyber-resilient AI infrastructure. Mission-critical environments Both companies are exhibiting at RAISE Summit 2026. Visit Scality at booth #3D and WEKA at booth #2D to learn more about the joint solution and meet the experts behind it. The companies will co-host an invitation-only Lumiere Candlelight® concert and dinner at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel on Wednesday, July 8, bringing together Europe’s top AI builders, founders, and partners beyond the conference floor. “The race for AI is no longer limited by GPUs. It’s increasingly limited by data infrastructure. Our partnership with WEKA brings those strengths together, and extending it with local, French-language support means our joint customers in France get the combined solution backed by a single, in-country point of contact. This is exactly the kind of practical, customer-first collaboration that earns trust in mission-critical environments,” said Jérôme Lecat, CEO of Scality. "AI doesn't stall because enterprises run out of models. It stalls because infrastructure can't keep pace with the demand they create. NeuralMesh solves the performance layer: it maximises GPU utilisation, scales inference throughput, and drives down cost per token. Scality covers the full data lifecycle with the cyber resilience and sovereign controls that regulated European industries require. Local French-language support from Scality removes the final barrier to adoption. For French enterprises deploying at scale, that is a meaningfully shorter, lower-risk path to production," said Nilesh Patel, Chief Strategy Officer of WEKA.

Scality & OVHcloud: Sovereign cloud AI storage

Scality, a pioneer in data infrastructure software for the AI era, and OVHcloud, a global cloud provider and European cloud pioneer, announces an expanded technology partnership and a new joint storage platform built for European digital sovereignty. The solution gives organisations full control over sensitive data, with no dependency on U.S. hyperscalers, while delivering the performance and resilience required for the most demanding AI workloads. Deployment options include a 100% dedicated sovereign cloud and on-premises via the OVHcloud OPCP (On-Prem Cloud Platform), with backup replication across multiple availability zones (multi-AZ). Demanding regulatory environment The expanded partnership addresses two urgent business needs: maintaining control over sensitive data in an increasingly demanding regulatory environment and providing private infrastructure capable of supporting the most intensive artificial intelligence workloads. Today, digital transformation faces a contradiction: organisations want the agility of the cloud but cannot afford to expose critical data to foreign jurisdictions. This challenge is particularly acute in healthcare, finance, defence, and public services, where strict regulations such as European GDPR, DORA, NIS2, and HIPAA for the U.S. require data localisation and complete control over information assets. Public cloud providers The combination of Scality and OVHcloud OPCP solutions directly addresses this challenge. Scality RING and Scality ARTESCA provide massive, resilient, S3-compatible object storage deployed directly on the customer’s on-premises infrastructure. OPCP adds cloud-native orchestration, a managed services catalogue, and deployment automation, all built on a foundation independent of foreign public cloud providers. Beyond the on-premises layer, this alliance also extends to a dedicated storage offering on OVHcloud Bare Metal infrastructure through the HGR-STOR range. This setup enables organisations to easily deploy off-site backups with private S3 compatibility, integrated with leading cyber-resilience tools such as Veeam and Commvault, all hosted directly by OVHcloud. A key advantage is the guarantee of 100% dedicated servers, with no resource sharing with other customers, providing predictable performance and maximum isolation. It also supports a robust business continuity plan (BCP) by enabling controlled failover to OVHcloud infrastructure in the event of a disaster or primary site outage. High-performance object storage For end users, the result is a modern, seamless, sovereign cloud experience with predictable costs and without the legal risks associated with U.S. hyperscalers. Artificial intelligence requires vast amounts of data and computing power, but it is equally demanding in terms of latency and confidentiality. Training models or performing inference on mission-critical data, like medical records, financial transactions, and industrial telemetry, requires processing where it resides. The joint Scality-OVHcloud OPCP platform addresses this need end-to-end. Scality’s high-performance object storage, which is GPU-direct compatible and optimised for AI data pipelines, integrates natively with OPCP’s managed on-premises infrastructure. Organisations can train models, run MLOps pipelines, and deploy AI applications in near real time directly within their own environments, without compromising data security or regulatory compliance. Most critical data “OVHcloud and Scality share the same conviction: sovereignty is not a barrier to innovation - it is the prerequisite. By combining our high-performance object storage with the OPCP platform, we empower companies to scale their AI projects without ever sacrificing control over their data.” - Emilio Roman, Chief Revenue Officer, Scality. “The OVHcloud OPCP platform was designed so that software vendors and their customers can benefit from the power of the cloud wherever they need it: on their own premises. Scality is the natural and recognised partner for high-performance storage solutions for the most critical data. Together, OVHcloud and Scality provide a sovereign infrastructure backed by more than 25 years of OVHcloud expertise and ready for AI.” - Sylvie Houliere Mayca, Managing Director France Belux & MEA, OVHcloud.

Scality & Biomemory partner for DNA storage solutions

Scality, a global pioneer in data infrastructure software for AI-era storage at scale, announces a strategic partnership with Biomemory, the pioneer in industrial-grade DNA-based data storage systems, to accelerate the development and enterprise integration of DNA-based cold archive storage. Together, the two companies will work to position DNA storage as a viable, ultra-secure, and long-term archival tier within modern object storage environments, complementing existing flash, disk and tape infrastructure rather than replacing it. To strengthen the partnership, Scality CEO Jerome Lecat is on Biomemory's board of directors. Enterprise-grade metrics The partnership brings together Scality's software-defined S3 object storage platform, built to span and optimise across multiple storage media types, with Biomemory's data centre-oriented DNA storage systems, which are designed with enterprise-grade metrics and a modular architecture. The collaboration will focus on integrating DNA storage as a new, ultra-secure cold archive tier within Scality-managed storage environments including Scality ADI, its autonomous data infrastructure solution. The integration roadmap will be developed jointly by both companies in the coming months. Archival storage solution DNA data storage is transitioning from scientific research to commercial application, establishing itself as an archival storage solution optimised for extreme longevity and minimal operational demands. This emerging tier is uniquely suited for data that must endure for decades, offering near-zero media refresh requirements and zero power consumption at rest. Its core value proposition is ideal for "keep forever, read rarely" scenarios where data integrity and extreme longevity are non-negotiable. Key applications include national archives, scientific and genomic data repositories, media and entertainment preservation, regulated financial and healthcare records, and sovereign or defense workloads. The most immediate demand is expected from organisations responsible for preserving high-value data over multi-decade timeframes, where loss, corruption or unreadability could carry severe financial, legal, operational or societal consequences. Multi-decade timeframes The recent acquisition of assets from DNA pioneer Catalog Technologies strengthens Biomemory's foundation and accelerates its market readiness. This strategic move marks a decisive step in Biomemory's journey to bring DNA Data Storage from the lab to an industrialised IT solution. "The future of data storage is not a single medium; it is a spectrum of storage qualities, each optimised for the demands of the data it holds. DNA storage represents the logical culmination of that spectrum: a cold archive tier with density, secure immutability, and longevity that no conventional medium can approach. Our partnership with Biomemory is a strategic investment in owning that future. By bringing DNA into the Scality ecosystem now, we ensure our customers, which include the world's most demanding enterprises, governments, and service providers, will be ready to harness it as it matures. And by being on Biomemory's board, I'm personally committed to helping accelerate that journey for the entire industry." - Jerome Lecat, CEO, Scality. Cyber-resilience framework The strategic logic of the partnership is to extend existing capabilities in long-term data archive policy management, intelligent tiering, secure and cyber-resilient chain of custody. Scality is ideally positioned to serve as a massive-scale control plane around Biomemory’s DNA storage as the technology matures, enhancing the company’s CORE5 cyber-resilience framework to new levels of secure data storage. "Biomemory is building DNA storage with enterprise scale and enterprise expectations. Not as a laboratory curiosity, but as a modular, data centre-ready archival system. To realise that vision, we work with software partners who understand the full stack: how data moves, how policies are enforced, how resilience is maintained across tiers, and how enterprises actually manage the lifecycle of their most valuable assets. Scality is the ideal partner for that challenge. Their hardware-aware, software-defined architecture is precisely the kind of control plane that DNA storage needs to reach its potential in production environments. Having Jerome on our board brings not just strategic alignment, but deep operational experience scaling storage platforms globally." - Erfan Arwani, CEO, Biomemory.
