Comelit-PAC partners with CSL to enhance IoT connectivity for access control systems

Comelit-PAC has announced a strategic partnership with CSL to take advantage of a secure and reliable IoT connection for its complete PAC GDX portfolio. To enhance remote system administration, configuration, and connectivity to cloud platforms. The partnership with CSL enables Comelit-PAC to leverage CSL's IoT SIMs to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for its 4G PAC & GDX site routers, integral components of building safety and security systems.  These roaming IP SIMs provide Comelit-PAC with a robust connectivity solution, enabling secure and remote access to their access control systems via a fully encrypted private APN. This arrangement offers the added benefit of secure remote access for administration through a private network with a unique customer ID. Comelit-PAC launches ‘game changing’ IP access control

Comelit-PAC is expanding its PAC Access Control Range with the launch of the 511DCi IP One Door Controller. This feature-rich access controller comes with high security as a standard and the renowned quality that is to be expected from the company that pioneered proximity access control. The new PAC IP single Access Door Controller from the security specialist has been designed with the equal capability of the unrivalled 512 DCi 2 door controller, with the innovative advantage of supporting one door rather than two, on either a read-in/read-out or read-in/request to exit basis. Available installation-ready in either an Enclosure with 50W PSU or as a DIN Mount option, it is fully integrated into a PAC eco-system. Key features include its expansion capability via either additional network points or by utilising PAC’s 485 Bus with 512 DC controllers allowing up to 47 doors from one IP point locally. Overall a PAC Access Control System can support more than 2,000 doors, and up to 75,000 cardholders, making it suitable for any installation from a single door all the way through large enterprise-level systems. Comelit Group acquires PAC GDX to offer global “one stop shop” for integrated security solutions

Comelit Group UK, a manufacturer of access control and door entry solutions, has announced its acquisition of PAC GDX. Under the newly formed and re-branded Comelit-Pac company, the acquisition of PAC GDX by the Italian owned security and fire safety specialist will enable the company to offer total integrated solutions, inclusive of networked access control systems together with door entry, CCTV, home automation, intruder alarm, and fire detection systems. Networked access control Led in the UK by Managing Director, Francesca Boeris, Comelit-PAC will benefit from the best technologies, technical development, and economies of scale to focus on product development, manufacturing, and specification for the residential, education, and commercial sectors. Says Francesca, “This is an exciting time for Comelit together with PAC GDX. Combined, we want to provide our installers and commercial partners with a complete solution for everything related to the low voltage package.
