Since women and girls are subject to the threat of sexual harassment and violence worldwide, this May, One Mega Event 2018 will host a special session titled, Metropolitan strategies to achieve Safe Cities for women and girls: The NUA and SDG as a real opportunity at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. On 23 May, the networking event will share the first results of a research initiative carried out by Metropolis Network, and Women in Cities International (WICI) to map existing policies, programmes, and strategies being carried out by metropolitan governments and members of the association, around women’s safety in urban public spaces, a priority in both the New Urban Agenda (NUA) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 and 11. Convergence India 2017 and IoT India expo 2017 was a record-breaker in terms of participation and attendance Convergence 2017 was all about connectivity – both in the form of the technologies displayed and launched and in the face-to-face business networking taking place throughout the show. Convergence India 2017, the 25th anniversary of South Asia’s largest gathering of innovation and connectivity in the ICT, broadcast and digital media industries, concluded. Digital India Introducing ground-breaking technologies and products, providing opportunities for companies to conduct business, and shattering records, the trade fair showcased the connected future of innovations. Thousands of industry experts and professionals convened in New Delhi to explore the theme of the conference, Digital India, and drive the ever-evolving technology industry forward.
