ClanTect Ltd. has launched the ClanTect MDT Mobile, a highly portable Human Presence Wireless Detection System, which has been specifically designed for mobile patrol units and vehicle checkpoints to provide a highly accurate, non-intrusive, roadside system for detecting the illegal presence of humans hiding within vehicles, trucks, trailers, and containers. Applications of ClanTect’s systems ClanTect’s systems are deployed within a wide range of organisations in the Border Security, Prisons, and Critical Infrastructure markets. Customers include organisations such as the UK Border Force and Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, and Her Majesty’s Prison Service in the UK. Tens of thousands of clandestine fugitives are detected by ClanTect systems each year, with hundreds of lives being saved. With the launch of their 2nd generation mobile systems, ClanTect provides smaller, more compact devices that are fully wireless; making them easy to deploy in ad-hoc outdoor roadside locations even in windy weather conditions.  MDT Mobile system The system is very quick to set up and the search is fully automated and takes only 60 seconds for each vehicle The MDT Mobile system comprises; a ruggedised tablet with a detachable keyboard, four wireless sensors, and crucially, a proprietary wind sensor, which together with ClanTect’s unique signal processing software can remove the effect of the wind. The wireless sensors are supplied with magnetic mounts making them easy to attach to different vehicle types. The RF wireless sensors have a 60m LOS range and are powered by 3 rechargeable 1.2V AAA batteries. ClanTect have successfully executed on the roll out of their Motion Detection Technology (MDT) systems (sometimes referred to as ‘Heartbeat’ or ‘Human Presence Detection’ systems), across the estate of the HM Prison Service (Her Majesty's Prison Service) in the United Kingdom. The ClanTect systems are used for the detection of hidden human presence within vehicles, entering and exiting the prisons. The ClanTect systems are ‘ultra’ sensitive, they can detect the slightest of vibrations, whether it’s caused by the flicker of a finger, an agitated heartbeat or a deep breath, anywhere inside a vehicle. Motion Detection Technology (MDT) systems ClanTect’s Motion Detection Technology (MDT) systems are the ‘next-generation’ systems. ClanTect’s MDT provides far greater accuracy than the old legacy systems, which have been widely used around the world. The legacy systems are unable to differentiate between any vibrations emanating from outside the vehicles (such as, from passing traffic or road works) versus the vibration coming from directly inside the vehicle. Equally in outdoor operations, such as on highway border crossings and motorway check points, the legacy systems cannot operate effectively, as they are unable to determine if the vibration is being caused by windy conditions. Featuring unique ‘blocking technology’ ClanTect has also proven to be an extremely robust system, built to military specifications As a result, the legacy systems provide unacceptably high levels of false results (i.e., ‘false positives’). ClanTect’s unique ‘blocking technology’ eliminates such ‘external vibrations’ and is one of the reasons, why ClanTect was selected for HM Prisons to replace the old legacy systems. ClanTect has also proven to be an extremely robust system, built to military specifications, and used in harsh environmental conditions. Their systems are also easy to operate (it’s essentially a ‘one-click’ operation) and fast (an electronic search typically takes 60 seconds). Equally important, the ClanTect systems are completely safe for both the operator and any hidden fugitives, unlike many other technologies. Full wireless systems ClanTect has continued to enhance their MDT portfolio, e.g., they have implemented full wireless systems (which eliminates the need for cable systems, for their sensors). They also offer compact, lightweight mobile versions, e.g., they’re launching a new tablet version, which is ideal for roadside ‘Stop and Search’ operations by the police services. In addition to the HM Prison Service, ClanTect replaced similar out-dated legacy systems deployed by the UK Border Force and the company’s technology is also used by Frontex/European Border and Coast Guard Agency (the EU pan-European border agency), as well as by many other prison authorities, border agencies and owners of critical infrastructure in many countries.

ClanTect and ePm have signed a partnership agreement for the sale and servicing of ClanTect’s next generation Motion Detection systems (also referred to as ‘heartbeat’ detection systems) for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ultra-sensitive sensors Its ultra-sensitive sensors can detect even the faintest of movements, from anywhere within a vehicle ClanTect’s systems are based on sound and vibration technology. Its ultra-sensitive sensors can detect even the faintest of movements, from anywhere within a vehicle. The system is extremely fast (approx. 60 seconds for a vehicle search), it is very easy to use, the search process is fully automated, and, unlike X-Ray and some other technologies, it is completely safe for both the operator and for the stowaway. ClanTect’s system is extremely accurate. It utilises a unique ‘blocking’ capability, which eliminates any nearby surrounding noise from outside of the vehicle. Compact 2nd generation systems With the launch of their 2nd generation systems, ClanTect provides smaller and more compact devices, which are now fully wireless, thereby making them easy to deploy in ad-hoc outdoor roadside locations, even in windy weather conditions.
