Allot Communications Ltd. unveils DNS Secure, mass-market cyber security solution

Allot Communications Ltd. (Allot Ltd.), a global provider of innovative network intelligence and security-as-a-service (SECaaS) solutions for communication service providers and enterprises, has announced that a new mass-market cyber security solution, Allot DNS Secure, will join the Allot Secure family of cyber security solutions for communication service providers (CSPs). Allot DNS Secure The new Allot DNS Secure solution is supported by an agreement with Open-Xchange to licence its OX PowerDNS technology, which will be integrated into Allot DNS Secure. DNS Secure is designed for CSPs who want to deploy a security solution primarily for fixed broadband subscribers. The solution provides protection against a broad range of cyber threats including malware and phishing and offers content filtering. It is deployed with a ‘light touch’ on the CSP network either as a standalone solution or together with other solutions in the unified Allot Secure family, such as HomeSecure, NetworkSecure and EndpointSecure. Scalable end-user protection against malware “Building its new network-based cyber security solution on the OX PowerDNS platform will allow Allot to offer quick, comprehensive and scalable end-user protection against malware and phishing, combined with content filtering options, to its communication service provider customers,” said Neil Cook, PowerDNS Head of Product at Open-Xchange. “The agreement with Open-Xchange enhances the Allot cyber security portfolio with an additional high-quality product. Allot provides NetworkSecure solution to MEO Net Segura clientless cybersecurity and parental controls services

Allot Ltd., a global provider of innovative network intelligence and security-as-a-service (SECaaS) solutions for communication service providers (CSPs) and enterprises, announces that MEO, a brand of Altice Portugal, the country’s largest fixed broadband and mobile service provider, has launched MEO Net Segura, network-based zero-touch, clientless cybersecurity and parental controls services, powered by Allot NetworkSecure. The network-based MEO offering protects consumers against cybersecurity threats, including malware, phishing, ransomware and cryptomining, while also providing configurable parental controls that ensure kids view only appropriate content. Provide cybersecurity services These services are provided from within the MEO network, which enables a zero-touch approach, requiring no download or configuration by the subscribers. To complement NetworkSecure, the Allot EndpointSecure solution potentially provides MEO the capability to provide cybersecurity protection to customers even when they are off the MEO network. On top of anti-malware protection, the new services provide consumers with MEO branded activity reports and real-time security alerts. Consumer engagement tools Protecting more than 20 million subscribers globally, Allot reports that other telecom customers have achieved adoption rates of up to 50% with zero-touch network-based subscriber services based on NetworkSecure, and enhanced by Allot consumer marketing services. “Our NetworkSecure solution provides a unique set of consumer engagement tools and zero-effort, clientless subscriber onboarding that encourage high adoption rates and drive increased ARPU and brand loyalty,” said Amir Oren, VP Sales EMEA at Allot. “This is a win-win solution for MEO and their customers, where subscribers receive the cybersecurity services they want and MEO gains a valuable new revenue stream.”

Allot Communications Ltd equips Tier-1 telecom operator in APAC with its HomeSecure solution

Allot Communications Ltd., a global provider of innovative network intelligence and security-as-a-service (SECaaS) solutions for communication service providers (CSPs) and enterprises, has announced that a Tier-1 telecom operator in APAC has selected Allot HomeSecure to provide consumers with zero touch clientless cyber security and parental control services, to protect the CPEs/routers and devices in their homes. HomeSecure solution The HomeSecure solution will be deployed in CPEs provided to consumers by the operator, and in the operator’s cloud-native environment.  The services are expected to be made available to millions of the operator’s fixed broadband customers. The operator has ordered an enterprise-wide perpetual licence from Allot. According to the Microsoft Security endpoint threat report 2019, the malware encounter rate in APAC was 1.6 times higher than the global average. In light of these conditions, Allot HomeSecure gives telecom providers in APAC a unique opportunity to deliver zero-touch, fully automated services that protect their customers while generating supplemental revenues. Security for home IoT and smart home devices Allot HomeSecure provides security for home IoT devices and smart appliances Allot HomeSecure provides security for home IoT, smart appliances, and the devices connected to the home network. It integrates into the existing home router with the addition of a thin software client that provides home network visibility, cyber security and parental controls without the need for any configuration by the consumer. Allot HomeSecure uses AI to identify and profile connected home devices and to detect and act upon anomalous device behaviour. HomeSecure has the option to be managed from an easy-to-use app for every household that gives consumers control over their network security and parental controls. “Our customer in APAC sees anti-malware protection for all home-connected devices and parental controls as basic requirements for any offering they provide to their millions of fixed broadband customers. HomeSecure gives them a single zero-touch clientless solution that satisfies both of these demands,” said Ran Fridman, EVP Global Sales at Allot.
