Bell Security is moving to unify and further develop its UK-wide fire systems business, renamed Fire UK. Mark Petre has joined as General Manager to oversee the process. Mark brings 19 years' industry experience to his new role.
As Bell Fire Ltd this business has operated successfully since the late 1990s. In addition to supporting Bell's nationwide security systems activities with retail banks, other fire systems customers have been, to date, primarily clustered in the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor and in London and the South East. A first step will be expanding the regional service management team and developing a new regional operations centre in Leeds.
Mark Petre said: "Fire UK is looking to capitalise on existing strengths rather than break new ground. Our systems design, installation and ongoing maintenance activities are well-rooted. But we are being more forceful in marketing our ability to take over maintenance contracts for systems installed by third-parties. And our NSI Fire Gold-certified status adds value to our ability to support clients in their responses to the October 2006 changes in UK fire regulations."
