Two of the UK's leading alarm receiving centres (ARCs) and early adopters of IP signalling - UK Monitoring and Abel Alarm Company Limited - are among the latest to commit to Emizon 21, the new secure, managed messaging service that has been launched specifically for IP networks.

Emizon 21 effectively gives end users, installers and ARCs the opportunity of embracing the benefits of IP monitoring within an inherently secure network.  This means improved functionality, flexibility and cost effectiveness whilst still maintaining the security standards associated with ‘traditional' dual path signalling services.

Pat Allen, Director of Abel, sees significant advantage in adding Emizon to its solutions portfolio.  "Emizon helps installers address the element of ‘fear' that they have towards IP," he says.

"As a national provider, it is imperative that we deliver choice for our customers, and although we have the intelligent control panels and intelligent monitoring software, the missing part has always been intelligent signalling.  With Emizon we now have an ideal product for IP-led applications where dual path signalling is required."

Anthony King, Managing Director of UK Monitoring, has also been quick to realise its potential:  "We see Emizon 21 as an integral part of our solution going forward," he says.

"Based on our evaluation, this is exactly what the security industry needs at the present time.  It will enable installers with limited access to IT support to take on IP monitoring with confidence, giving them a robust, managed solution at the right cost that is simple to install and maintain."

Emizon's service was originally conceived in 2002, and it has been working with a number of leading installers, ARCs and various panel manufacturers and software providers in bringing its solution to the market.

"The Emizon service provides a fully managed end-to-end service from the alarm panel to the ARC, something that has been a key requirement since IP was first mooted," explains Bob Tuck, Emizon's Managing Director.

"Emizon is about the practical application of leading edge technology to every day business," he continues. "By working collaboratively across the industry with alarm panel manufacturers, ARCs and installers, our aim is to ensure that the industry embraces the potential of IP monitoring, whilst protecting the security needs of all our customers both now and in the future."
