Reliance Security Services has been announced 2007 Winner of the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Commercial and Business Services Sector Occupational Health & Safety Award.

The award was announced at a special ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre, on Thursday 24th May.

Alison Crossley, Support Services Director for Reliance Security Services said: "With over 10,000 employees working at customer locations across the UK, often on a 24 hour basis, the health and safety of our people is at the forefront of everything that we do.  We are delighted to be recognised for our commitment to these high standards."

David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said: "Reliance Security Services has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies.  We would like to see more organisations following its lead."

The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.  Entering the awards scheme reinforces the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates Reliance's commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.
