SKIDATA AG and LEGIC Identsystems Ltd jointly announce  the market introduction of a SKIDATA Combi Card.  The new contactless ‘keycard iso combi LEGIC advant' combines the SKIDATA access solutions with the wide choice of LEGIC advant all-in-one-card applications.  It will increase services and convenience for guests and partners in tourist destinations.

The new SKIDATA card offers two combined areas on the same chip.  The SKIDATA area supports their access applications, including advance booking over the Internet.  The LEGIC all-in-one-card area supports additional applications such as public transport, ski rentals, e-payment facilities and door lock systems.  It comes with proven LEGIC advant features such as flexible multi-applications, secure data communication and fraud protection.  Both areas can be used independently from each other.  An easy integration into existing SKIDATA and LEGIC advant applications guarantees high compatibility and investment protection.

The new SKIDATA Combi Card was shown for the first time at SAM (International trade show for mountain equipment) in Grenoble from 26-28 April 2006.

Klaus U. Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, comments: "We are excited to have integrated the LEGIC all-in-one-card technology into the new SKIDATA Combi Card.  This gives Operators the possibility to use SKIDATA's Ski Passes in the wide range of complementary LEGIC applications."

"The Combi Card allows SKIDATA customers to freely choose from a wide selection of specialized solutions to enhance guest services.  We are proud to be able to offer our customers a SKIDATA card with integrated LEGIC technology", said Urs Grimm, Senior Vice President, People Access at SKIDATA AG.
