Protecting the blue economy through maritime surveillance technologies masterclass

Over 90% of global trade is conducted on the world’s oceans. To ensure this ‘Blue Economy’ is kept safe from a variety of threats such as piracy; governments, militaries and, increasingly, commercial operators are looking to a whole range of Maritime ISR technologies. In particular space-based surveillance has become a huge factor in how we monitor our seas. 

This Masterclass will consider how the military and commercial sectors need to work together more and more to protect their interests at sea, particularly as new technologies, especially those in space begin to emerge.
