NCT Food Supply Chain Security 2013
NCT Food Supply Chain Security: A European Forum
IB Consultancy is proud to announce the latest addition to its NCT Events Series: Food Supply Chain Security. This one-day forum will take place on 18 June at Le Meridien Hotel in Brussels and will feature high-level experts on food safety and supply chain security.
Issues with food safety and supply chain security are spreading beyond controversies over unexpected horsemeat content in our food. Motives to corrupt the supply chain can range from economic drivers to malicious attempt to disrupt the food supply system. This is of concern to everyone one of us living in a world with increasingly interdependent food chains ranging from fish farms in the Pacific Ocean, vegetable production in Northern Africa and American cattle farming to warehouses in Barcelona, Rotterdam and Hamburg.
Our distinguished speaker panel will discuss key themes of public health, food safety and food chain security that are of relevance for European Government Authorities, food and distribution industry, and consumers: the threat of CBRN incidents within the European food supply chains, best practices and lessons learned from past food safety incidents, and implications for European food supply chain security and management.
