Event Overview:

Electronic Warfare 2018 - Evolving electronic warfare and cybersecurity to counter threat

The 3rd edition of Electronic Warfare will explore the increasing importance of electronic warefare and cybersecurity in modern military, operational experiences and current requirements. With several high profile cyber-attacks affecting the West from a range of enemies, there is an urgent need for NATO allies to quickly develop their capabilities to tackle the ongoing threat. NATO plans to spend $3.24 billion over the next three years to advance its satellite and computer technology as the in line with new threats.

In addition, NATO are spending $176m on next generation training equipment specifically for electronic warfare. The meeting will be chaired by Air Marshal Greg Bagwell CB CBE, Former Deputy Commander, Royal Air Force and hosts a dedicated Cyber Focus Day. This will provide militaries, government agencies and industry organisations an opportunity to discuss ways to realign their electronic warfare and cyber capabilities while improving cooperation on joint operations.
